Dell XPS 13 9380 - ShopBack?

Hi guys,

I'm looking to pull the trigger on one of these. Specifically looking at the i7/512GB SSD/16GM RAM/non 4k model (Dell website - https://www.dell.com/en-au/shop/dell-laptops/new-xps-13-9380…)

So far, I've been able to get it down to $2,099 via the Dell Australia eBay shop (using the code 'PYLON').

Dell Australia is also listed on the ShopBack website and has '12.00% Cashback (Was 3.00% Cashback)' - https://www.shopback.com.au/dell-australia.

I've never used ShopBack before so forgive me for not understanding the process, but is it correct to say that using the listed price on Dell website for the XPS13 9380, $2,174, and subtracting 12% for cashback, does that make the final price $2,174*0.88 = $1,913.12, once the cash back has been claimed/applied?

If anyone could shed some light it would be greatly appreciated!

  • yes

  • Yes

  • yes but will take approx 75 days to get the cash back

    • That's fine! As long as it actually ends up being the $1913 figure I calculated.

12% cashback is only applied on non gst component which is $1976.36.

    Stay away from cash rewards

    • What do you mean? Should I go ahead with it?

      • Yes it's fine. Never had an issue with cashrewards. Make sure you use a browser WITHOUT adblock or similar, or open an incognito window.

Your post talks about shopback and not cashrewards so not sure what's up with this comment. Shopback is fine as well.

  • Don't make a mistake. $2174 is not for 4k options

    • Yep - don't need the 4k screen and prefer the longer battery life.

  • Hey guys,

I've received confirmation from ShopBack that this qualifies for cashback with the ongoing EOFY sale they have going on. Can anyone confirm if my maths is correct, that the final price after cashback will be:

    (1976.36*0.88) + (2174-1976.36) = $1,739.20 + $197.64 = $1936.84 ?

In other words, 12% off the non-GST component + GST component

Thanks for the replies so far!
