How much would you expect to pay for Carpet Cleaning?

Called a carpet cleaning company recently after they left a flyer in my letterbox

If all of you could tell me roughly how much you would pay for this as the price was a lot higher than the advertised price
The fine print extra for stain remover and deodorizer etc

But anyway here goes………….one large bedroom
One small bedroom and one small two seater sofa

Carpet cleaner stayed approx 30 minutes, he did a reasonably good job but I thought he could of spent more time on the sofa and a few stains in the corner of the carpets. I did tell him, he said he couldn't get those stains out apart from that it looks OK. He done a reasonable job but I felt he could of put more effort into it

So anyway what would u expect roughly to pay AND would it concern you that he only took 30 minutes and he was out the door?

I should add I am in a unit block so he had to carry the machine up two flights of stairs.

    $195

    • And would it concern you that he took only 30 minutes or it wouldn’t worry you as long as he done a good job ?

      • it's charged on per job basis, not hourly rate

else $50/hr , you want to pay him 25 bux ?

      • Would you feel better if they kept cleaning the same areas for 1 hour and charge for the extra time?

    One person, 30 minutes.

Assuming 30 minute travel and 30 minute set up time (being extremely generous), I'd say $80/hr so that makes it $120.

If they can get $80 an hour for their effort, a full schedule would mean $160,000pa with weekends off and a two week holiday.

Not bad coin for $50,000 of investment (white van and cleaning supplies.

Hi OP can't read the above line and don't think others would too without something like an ultrawide monitor so have reposted it over here (you have put 3 spaces in front of the above text putting it into code formatting).

    • Thankyou Loke

  • Well the price was…..$149

  • I got charged $65 for 2 large bedrooms recently, but the job was questionable.

    • When you say questionable, you mean it wasnt the best ?

      • It seems you're questioning it so I'd say that's exactly what he meant.
