TRS - Does It Have to Say 'Tax Invoice'

Hello community,

I was wondering if anyone here have successfully claimed GST back on a receipt that doesn't say 'Tax Invoice'.

I spent about 1,500 AUD on baby stuff like a pram, accessories etc, purchased from an online retailer based in Sydney.
The receipt they sent me says 'Sales receipt' and not 'Tax Invoice'.
They've got all the necessary information like ABN, my personal info, quantities etc, but it doesn't say it's a tax invoice,
and the GST is labeled as 'sales tax'.

Do you think this 'sales receipt' is acceptable for TRS?

Many thanks!

It needs to say Tax Invoice.

  • yes it does

A you really going to take a pram and all that onto a flight though?

    • You can take a pram on the flight. They'll store it for you after you're on board and will retrieve it for when you disembark so you can use it straight away.

  • Thanks guys! I am checking them in ;)

How did you get banned so quick?

  • It'll be fine mate. As long as they have the ABN details you should have no issues with TRS.

  • yes you need to be written down
