Positive Voting on Own Deals

I noticed that one particular user, Choppy, has been voting positively for the deals he submits and only for the deals that he submits. It's pretty obvious that if you submit a bargain, you think it's a good deal - can I suggest making it so that you can't vote positively on your own deals? I think it's somewhat misleading to browsers.

  • But if you're submitting it, isn't it a fair assumption that you think it's a good deal? And your vote should be counted (as it is now) Personally I like the automatic 1 positive.

  • When you post it automatically adds a positive vote. There is nothing unfair if you ask me.

  • My ignorance, sorry. I thought it stated at 0.

    • Heh, don't stress - I know where you're coming from if you thought that :)

  • Same as Digg, adds a +1. Surely, you are not going to submit a crap deal.

  • lol…

  • Also it saves the problem that some may not like to vote on their deal, if it was voluntary, sorta like not wanting to brag. By having it automatic, then everyone starts on the same foot. Or another way to look at it, as every deal starts on 1 vote in effect the poster can't vote.
