Microsoft 800 Wireless Keyboard and Mouse for $15.50 from Staples

Staples is selling a combined wireless keyboard with mouse for $30. That will it make $10 plus $5.50 delivery (metro).

So, that's a brand-name wireless mouse and keyboard for roughly 7 bucks each. That's even cheaper than the ebay generics.

    decisions, decisions…

  • Good price. Although i would highly recommend getting a wireless keyboard and mouse combo that uses laser instead of optical mice, if you don't want to be replacing the batteries every 2 months.

    • Good Point Scrimshaw.
Here's a more detailed technical specs of the product from the Microsoft website.

I recently purchased a very inexpensive usb battery charger on ebay (~$3) along with a battery meter for $2.

For the less eco-conscious you can get a set of generic 10 triple A batteries for >$3 at your local Dollar store or online at ebay for a similar price.

    • I'm using the same set at the moment. No problems at all.. the keyboard is very long takes a little getting used to but no problems with it. It also comes with 4 Duracell batterys

  • Running out of coupons are we? I think there some more available on the forums. I've limited myself to (2) purchases so far in order to not incur the wrath of the bargain gods.

    • Where are they?
Can you email me via my contact form please? :D

      • Gimme a sec, gotta check the forums..

        • yeah I've run out too.

If we're going to list individual products seperatley i think this should be done on the forums?
There is 100 things which would work out to be a good deal with the voucher code? I don't think we need a new deal for each deal?
    Thoughts?

      HI Phil,

I was quit worried about that actually. I felt like I might be potentially creating a duplicate post. Most products on Staples aren't actually all that cheap because they start out so expensive before the discount.

However, this product along with the 4 buck USB are a new sale which started on Staples today. Eg. Until yesterday the USB were listed as $20 on the website and have now been dropped to $4.

In short, it's like a sale within a sale, so i feel like it should be listed seperate. However, this doesn't mean -every- product should be listed. Just special sales like this.

Though, i see you've got a good point, not sure what to do…

      • Thanks for your prompt reply.

I believe it is a good deal, i purchased the same set with the staples codes a week ago, and am very happy with the purchase. It is a good deal but i hope it doesn't set a precedent for many other products to the website as it would flood the site and make other deals harder to discover.

I don't believe it is worth negging like JV has done below, but just for others to keep in mind in future posts.

        Thanks

  • Yes, they extended the deal as the previous offer ended yesterday although it was still available today with the old expiry date on it. A good buy me thinks. :)

  • just wondering, does the $20 voucher covers postage too? e.g. if i buy $2 pen, and postage cost maybe $5. so I dont have to pay anything??

    • No, it doesn't cover postage.

    • but you could buy 10 of them and hence get them only for ~$0.50 each

This is just a repost of all the Staples codes… Dupe

    • agreed, moved to forums as this is an extension of deals already posted

  • is "knock off 20" a code???

    • lol,. Sorry, no. Should be more clear.

  • This is $20 (ish) including postage (for me). Is that a decent price for this kb/mouse?

    • $26.63 cheapest on ShopBot + postage. I think it's still a deal. :)

  • Anyone know if OW will price match this? They have it for $34.95.

    • Interesting, I've never done a price-match so I had just checked the T&C on their website. Staples doesn't have a street presence yet so this is online store for now.

      Taken from http://www.officeworks.com.au/retail/content/Lowest-price-gu…
"Identical products are price matched against online stores but as with any other kind of store, the item must be currently in stock. When price matching online stores we also take into account the added cost of delivery. If the identical product can be purchased and delivered via an online store for a total price lower than the one we are offering, we will beat that total price by 5%."

So let's see. Original Staples price is $30. Plus metro delivery is $5.50. That brings it to $35.50. So i guess, no…. Though, I don't know how they feel about coupons. Lots of companies like HP or Sony do $50 cash-back deals that would make 'em cheaper than OfficeWorks. Worth a shot.

      • I've put one of these in my cart on the Staples website, applied the coupon and printed it out. I'm going to take it to OW in the next day or so to see if they will price match. Will report back here once I've done that. Thanks for your input 'the urbanite'. Appreciate your thoughts.

        • best of luck. It's a pity Staples doesn't have a nice glossy brochure with coupon-adjusted prices. That would seem much more convincing.
