You should have investigated this before you made the listing and decided on how much to charge for international postage.

I did investigate this and couldn't find anything else other then Auspost. So I based my sale on that information, but if anybody knows some where else to get it cheaper, I am all ears. But thanks for your comment.

      • Still better to do it beforehand. You would have gotten more bidding activity if you could list the actual (+fee percentage) postage cost that you intended to use.

        • I didn't think of putting up those details to entice international buyers, will know for next time. Thank you :)

Depending on the cost of the item you are sending you could try sendle

    • Thanks! I had no idea about this courier service, they seem cheap.

Might be cheaper to wait for some cheap flights and take it yourself. Enjoy your trip to Malaysia. I hear the Laksa is amazing.

Would it fit in a boogie board bag?

I'm selling a bunch of things on ebay at the moment and sending internationally via Sendle.
Much cheaper than Auspost, never had any issues. Im fairly sure it goes through DHL anyway.

    • Do they pickup from you? Unfortunately my home isn't listed as a possible pickup location.

Yeah they do, its literally the only negative about it. Maybe try typing the address differently? If its in a metro area they will pick it up..
For domestic parcels they allow you to drop off at news agencies etc, but not for International consignments…

        • Good to know about domestic parcels! I have a relative I can drop it off too for this international delivery, im assuming they can pick it up if you leave it out the front?

          • @m0tyrider: Well they actually claim that they need to see some ID for the first 3 international consignments, I havent been asked for ID once..

    • I didn't know you could use Sendle to post internationally, thanks for the info

Yeah its a new addition to their service. Quite cheap for smaller parcels.

  • Couldn't you say you did not want to sell the item internationally (you made a mistake), you only wanted to sell it in Oz. Refund the money then relist the item on eBay
