(eBay) How to Check The Expiry Date of Your eBay Gift Cards?

I have some ebay gift cards and want to know the expiry date. Googled how to but no result. Tried to use the balance checker but it doesn't work.

Anyone know? Thanks.

Generally it's three years from date of purchase.

    • I cant find the email of when i purchased.

  • Did you try this?

    Working fine for me.

  • The check balance page does not state the expiry date.
On my physical ebay gift card purchase from Coles in July 2018, it says "The card expires 12 months after date of issue".
Google search says 3 years expiry for gift card purchased after 31/03/2018 but this page https://pages.ebay.com/giftcard/faqs.html says:

What are the terms and conditions of eBay Gift Cards and Gift Certificates?
eBay Gift Cards are non-refundable and cannot be redeemed for cash, unless required by law.
eBay Gift Cards and Gift Certificates never expire, and there are no fees.

    So confusing

I had to try and find this out too recently. eBay make it a pain to find out form some reason (probably they hope it will expire and you lose your credit).
You still can't expiry date (or activation date) it when you look up the balance here https://www.ebay.com.au/gft/balance

The only way I could do it was get in touch with them. I used online chat, gave them the card number and they were able to advise the "activation date" ie. date retailer activated card (generally the same thing as time of purchase). Expiry is three years from that date currently in Australia.
