NOT happy with Spreets Again!

So my wife referred to friends back February, who went on and bought the deal. After weeks of complaints she finally received the $20 credit she was entitled to. She logged on to to her Spreets account for the first time since and the $20 credit has disappeared. She wanted use it towards buying four of the $88 Teppanyaki vouchers. I just submitted a support request but knowing Spreets the issue won't be resolved for weeks and that's if it does get resolved.

  • After what you and others have been through it doesnt sound suprising, the suprise would have been if the 20 credit was still there.

  • I agree, and you would think after the amount of money they make they could afford hire staff to look after their customers. I actually had the Spreets CEO email my wife with some really rude comments. Anyway I really wanted to take advantage of the The Rocks Teppanyaki deal but I feel really ripped off.. How does credit account just go missing?

      So sorry to read your comments here. Thought we will clarify some of the points you have raised.

      Referral credit is automated and the referring email account automatically receives credit when the new person actually directly clicks of the invite link and makes a purchase over ten dollars. This happens withing 48hours of the purchased deal being over. A manual process however involves checking on the actual purchase, why there was an issue in the first place, whether there was a browser specific/email provider specific problem etc. This could have probably caused the delay in your wife getting the credits in her a/c?

      On your most recent point, all credits have an expiry date of three months. They will appear in the second column under the credits tab of your spreets account. So your wife should have been able to see credits, expiry date and total credit columns in her account. Once they have expired she wouldn't have been able to view the $$ in her account.

      • Do you guys specify that referral purchases have to be over $10 when you are trying to get people to refer?

        I no longer refer. I referred with spreets a year ago and due to system errors, they said they would have to go back through and do it manually. Guess what? Never happened. I know that my MIL bought from my link.

    I don't understand why you would continue to patronise an organisation if you have had rude emails and mega hassles. Give Spreets the flick.

    BTW - bumping every Spreets and/or group buy threads with the same comment isn't going to resolve your issue any quicker.

    I've stopped using Spreets mainly due to the fact that their deals are not really good value in addition to their poor customer service. Scoopon, OurDeal and JumpOnIt tend to have much better deals.
