Can You Receive LSITO and Spouse Contributions Together?

Just wondering if the couple could receive LISTO (Low-income super tax offset) and Spouse contributions together?

  • Yes, if you are individually entitled to both LISTO and spouse contribution tax offset.

Keep in mind that you will have to make two different types of contributions.

LISTO applies to concessional (pre-tax) and spouse contribution is non concessional (after-tax).

    • Thabks for the reply, I am pretty sure LISTO is after tax contribution and paid bu yourself and spouse contribution obviously paid by your partner and your partner gets $540 tax ofset not the person who receives LISTO.

      • LISTO is the 15% tax refund on concessional (pre-tax) contributions for low income earners.

Also, the paying spouse receives the $540 tax offset, not the receiving spouse.
