Flights to either Turkey, Crotia, Israel, Romania

Hi Guys,

Im looking into flying into one of these countries one way in March next year (the reason for it being these countries is due to the Schengen Agreement).
Found a good looking deal today, using the 'Fly a Friend for Free' Jetstar promo I can go via Bangkok for a total cost of around $700 bucks. Im just a little skeptical about using the stopover and if the dates correlate.

Any one have ideas/experience in flying to these countries?

  • Most flights going to Europe have to stopover somewhere in Asia. You don't usually leave the airport, so it doesn't really matter where does it?

In other words… what's wrong with Bangkok?

As for the dates - only you can decide if the dates of the flight are suitable for the dates that you wish to arrive :-D

    • I understand what youre saying. Just to clarify what I meant for the dates: The only cheap flight i found from Bangkok was very close to the time of arrival - a short delay on my initial flight will mean im stuffed.

      • Oh… well, unless you are actually booking 2 flights separately, everyone else on the first plane will be doing similar to you. In this case, the second plane will wait.

But I get the impression that you are trying to organise the 2 legs separately?

You need to confirm with the travel agent if there is a "changeover guarantee", because there may be some insurance that can cover you for that kind of problem.

  • u want to book tickets to Turkey, Crotia, Israel, Romania

u want to book jetstar thailand tickets

are u going to look for tickets from thailand to Turkey, Crotia, Israel, Romania
    seperately?

and then book thailand to sydney on jetstar? if so its buyer beware if ur jetstar flights are delayed etc, and ur tickets from thailand to one of those desintation is not flexibale enough to change times

if you go a ticket thats goes to those places (like thai airways) and it has a stopover built in the ticket, it wont matter, the airline will have to fix it up for free

i recommend that if your going to book jetstar for one leg and anotehr airline for anotehr leg, get some tarvel insurance that covers connection flight issues

thai / malaysian airways had cheap flights from asutarlia to europe (transist in malaysia)
    u should look into those

  • +1

have a look for around the world deals, it might be cheaper than booking separately
