  • $15 shipping

Might wanna put that ^^ in the title

  • +2

note that shipping and handling+insurance charges makes them about $24 but it's still a bargain!

  • How do you know which are eligible without going through the whole checkout process?

    • with 1.5 index lens

    • +2

all are eligible - unless they state 'no coupons' near the top of the page.

      • Wow, that is a great deal.

        • +1

all are eligible. even the 'no coupons' ones! I just ordered the Diesel ones.

    • +1

Ummm, not quite. I ordered before with another coupon code earlier in the year. I went through all the process successfully and even paid. The next day they cancelled my order and refunded me. Really bad control system that have…

      • wait so if it says no coupons it will be refunded? =s
        just ordered armani ones…

        • Maybe… I won't be surprised. They really need to fix up their system rather then make customers pay and be refunded when they are deem to be ineligible.

      • I hope not, ordered a pair marked coupons not applicable.

  • Great deal!

  • Just ordered pair of Nike. Listed as 'no coupons' but code and payment went through o.k.

    • lol the order will prob get cancelled tomorrow, and refunded based on all the other times free glasses coupons have been around. but worth a try, nothing to lose ;)

      • Really - then the coupons are gone and you get nothing

  • 1.5 index is not good if you have really bad eyesight. Can we pay extra and upgrade to higher indexes?

    • you know you can get the lenses changed, still cheaper than buying them at full price
      I know I wouldn't complain

      • by change do you mean I take the frame to a local optometrist and ask them to put the lens in? or do you mean change lens on the site. Because i'm only looking into buying a spare pair, if I can't get one with good index that is under 100, I'll pass.

      • wot if i just want the frame?

    • +2

I think it actually means minimum 1.5 index. To stop people who don't need prescribed glasses ordering 0-index pairs just for wearing to job interviews.

Not that I know anyone who did that…

      • +1

wait wearing glasses to job interviews helps?
I thought they would prefer someone with 2 eyes instead of four?

        • Might depend what job you go for, I think the glasses gives the smart nerd impression.

      • I'm pretty sure you can order 0-index lenses, I remember some from ozbargain did that because they didn't know their prescription and didn't want to miss out.

      • +1

1.5 index relates to the refractive index, not the power.

You can have no power and 1.5 index glasses. Typically those with a higher power will want a higher refractive index so the lenses aren't too thick.

        See http://www.visionsofcanada.com/eyeglass_lenses/high_index_gl… for further info.

    • You can upgrade to higher index lens after you enter your prescription, prices range from $25 to $55 depending on which you choose.

  • +3

argh…good deal, but I so can't be bothered figuring out which pairs will fit my face…

  • $19.70 for a pair of glasses - pretty good imo =D

  • I find one glasses may fit my face ^^

  • +1

It seems to work on those marked "coupons not applicable".

I wonder if you could get this for free using their "refer a friend get $50 credit".

Anyone recommend stores to get lenses put in without getting ripped? It's been ages since shopping for my last pair and didn't have a recent prescription on hand.

    • Just tested, it works also. Very nice!

    • -1

      delete

    • no such thing. Most stores will charge more just for lenses if you don't buy frames from them. They give you some BS about the lenses being premade for their frames and additional costs involved etc etc. Bottom line is that markup on frames is HUUUGE, lenses not so much so not in their interest.

      • +2

Yeah was hoping to avoid the whole "these are normally $900 with the 16 incomprehensible coatings but 70% off just for you" BS.

Probably still worthwhile considering the frame was $21, assuming it doesn't get cancelled.

  • could we get a note on the post that ones marked as no coupons may not deliver?

  • Note that my previous order arrived extremely warped and unusable even as a spare at home. However my gf's order arrived fine. Luck of the draw. Might bite the bullet and give them another shot if there are any nice ones..

  • When does this expire? Today is it?

  • Is there a limit as to how many pairs you can buy? If one can buy multiple pairs do they charge p&h proportionately or just a fixed p&h for all?

  • and how do you get those refer a friend and get $50 credit thing? Searched a bit but couldn't find anything…

  • hmmm, are they Genuine brands?

    • yep

  • +4

Just called their Customer service helpline to confirm the confusion about what glasses does the code apply to. They explicitly said that the code ONLY applies to frames without the coupons not applicable code. They said that if the coupon is used for one of excluded frames, the order will automatically be cancelled.

    • +1

i think the deal title should be changed to eligible brands only rather than "all expensive brands"..

  • +1

It took me more than an hour to find the eligible ones. 2 brands that I found, Katayama and Bill Blass.

  • Thanks - first time order…will see how it goes

  • make sure you order one per household. If there is more than one per household, one of the orders will be cancelled.

I ordered 3 at three different address under 3 different names. without coupon codes available ones. Hoping they turn up, fingers crossed. otherwise I ll get a refund anyways :)

  • Just ordered. Cost me $25.20 delivered (courier).

  • I'm a bit dumb… but I really don't know how to fill up those prescription details… I just want a pair with that 1.5 index thing and I my eyes are okay so I don't wear glasses usually… yeah I admit it's kinda for good looking for me >_<

Can anyone help? when ordering should I choose:
    (1) single vision (2) progressive or (3) reading?
and what do i use for SPH, CYL, AXIS and PD?

I suppose if I use the coupon they'll just send me a very standard thing so there's really no need to fill up these details? But I can't bypass them…

And where does it say it's limited to one per household???

    • 1.5 index is just the thickness of the lens. You need your prescription to fill in those values, if you want a straight through no prescription one, you can choose 0 for all the values.

    • I'd choose single vision using "None" whenever possible, otherwise values as close to 0 as possible.

Might not be very good for your eyes though.

  • ADDITIONAL EXTRA COSTS:

1a High Quality Standard Lens (1.5 Index) FREE

  • Its saying that COUPON IS EXPIRED now :(

    • yeah the deals expired, was on only for yesterday

  • I just missed out Damn it, I was trying for 20 minutes… then the coupon expired…

  • +1

Must be only one free pair allowed..ever!. I ordered one a while back but the new order has just been cancelled(after I paid). I agree the order process should be set up so that if it is not going to be accepted then it should be before payment.

    • Did you order a pair that said 'no coupons'?

      • probably.

  • Nope - no coupon disclaimer under the pair I ordered.
    Just clarified with customer service:
1 pair of "free" glasses per household address lifetime.
If you pay by PayPal you are charged upfront - then it has to be refunded if order cancelled.
If pay by CC no upfront charge as glasses are charged when shipped.

  • Holy crap, I just got an email saying my ' no coupons allowed glasses have been sent LOL
