Suggestion for 2in1 Laptop: Dell Inspiron 7586 vs Lenovo Yoga 730

Hello everyone,

I am looking for a good and reliable 2in1 laptop for less than $1500. Currently I am looking at these two:

Dell Inspiron 7586 15" $999
i5-8265U
8gb ram/256 ssd
Intel 620
1080p IPS
42 Wh battery

Lenovo yoga 730 15" $1400

i5-8265U
8gb ram/256 ssd
GTX 1050 4gb
1080p IPS
51.5 Wh battery

So it is down to whether GTX 1050 and bigger battery is worth the extra $400? How about the reliability of both the model? Any other suggestion?

TLDR: Need a 2in1 laptop for work/entertainment on the go.

Thank you!

No response so I'll add my 2c worth… I have the 13 inch equivalent of both devices. I personally use the Dell Inspiron 7370. I previously had the 2 in 1 but never used it in tablet mode. The 7370 is great - it looks good, performs fine and was around $1200 at the start of the year. However, it doesn't feel as solid as previous Dell's I've owned and is very plasticy. Also, the battery failed after 3 months and was replaced under warranty, which was a painful experience in regional WA. It took over a week for the local service agent to get to me. I now get around 4-5hrs on battery.
My daughter has the 13" Yoga 730 which has similar specs to my Dell. But it looks and feels more solid, comes with an active pen, works well in tablet mode and is much lighter and smaller than my Dell (1.2 kg vs. 1.5kg). But the big difference is the 8 hrs+ battery life my daughter gets on her Yoga.
And through a bit of luck we got the Yoga for around $1200 a few months ago.
    I hope this helps!

  • Thanks for the response! I thought inspiron 7000 series has more stainless steel. I am leaning towards Yoga now but it is $400 more.
