limited to 500 available for those playing at home

    • mobile app?

      • I ordered using eBay mobile app on Android. No problems.

  • +2

Nice… TA you've done it again

  • +1

Just when i was right to place an order for the s10e…. Do i really want to splash out for s10.

Thanks TA. You da real MVP. Any chance of note 9 deal too? Just to make my decision harder.

    • if you are after a dual sim with same specs as the note 9 i can recommend the LG v40

      • I just miss the s pen functionality i had when i had a note4 ( before it had to go back to samsung 3 times for warranty issues)…

  • +7

Got the $849 S10. Invoice amount is $1349. If anyone claims TRS they can claim $122 back, bringing total down to $727. Sweet.

    • Thanks I bought it but hasn't received tax invoice though. How long did it take you to receive the tax invoice? Thanks

      • +1

They'll send the tax invoice when they post the item.

I bought the sony WH1000xm3 headphone this morning, and they sent out with the full amount tax invoice already :)

        • Many thanks. Can't wait.

        • I brought Sony too, however my next flight is 3 months away. I guess I will just leave it. I used 10% off gift card anyway.

    • Which you legally have to declare and pay back when coming back into Australia.

      • +3

If he was travelling with family, he could avoid repaying with the combined tax free limit, right?

        • Absolutely. The intention is that it's a tourist refund for people with a one way ticket out of Aus, but if he's combining it with family allowance then it's fair game.

    • Didn't get an invoice with the item… Only have the ones from Ebay which clearly state total was $849. Yours was shipped with the phone, and for $1349?

      • +1

It was attached in my shipping confirmation email.

        • thanks! but nope, no attachment. have e-mailed Sydneymobiles in hopes they'll send an invoice with the original amount though.

  • When do you apply coupon?

  • Got one. Thanks OP!

  • Wow great deal. Too bad I bought the s10e from TGG

    • I almost got the S10 from TGG, until I saw that ebayplus weekend is coming and decided then to wait and see.

  • Will Officeworks price beat by 5%?

    • +2

      Officeworks doesn't pricebeat coupon deals.

    • +1

Since this requires you to enter coupon code, Officeworks will not price beat.

  • Is there a way to get eBay plus for free if I've already used the trial?

  • +2

That's definitely a buy now, think later sort of a price (Especially when you've got ebay giftcards)

    • +1

      That's what i do.
Dont' know if i want to switch from iphone. It has been a while. Not sure if i can adapt to Android :P

      • +3

You're missing out! I switched from Apple to Samsung and haven't looked back! A whoooooole nother world :)

      • If you do you will never go back. I have had SG2, SG4, SG5 and now SG7. So tempted to jump to SG10 now. Son has my old SG5 and it still works fine… dang nab it!

        • +1

          Similar path - SG2, SG4, SG7 and just bought this SG10. (Plus an SG6 that I didn't buy).

SG7 was the first one that really blew me out of the water and still to this day is excellent. Only bought this because it'd cost me $250 to replace the SG7 screen and the USB connector has worn out plugging and unplugging a few hundred times a week.

          • @Janko: We buy those flip wallets and have never had to repair any mobiles; recommend (have dropped ours many a time) … lots of designs on eBay (handy for credit, myki, licence, parking cards and receipts too). Waterproof clip bit did come off the SG5 but couldn't find anyone who could replace it. I must admit I am concerned about what happens when the SG7 battery becomes an issue (an easy job to replace in the others.)

I sold the SG2, gave the SG4 to a struggling friend (in a new wallet) but it was stolen within a week (was charging it at work), and passed the SG5 to son. I have been very happy with the SG7; great pics and ample memory etc.

            • @JediJan: I have been thinking about a case for the first time. S4 smashed when a manhole cover caved in when I was jogging over it. S7 screen smashed when I borrowed a mate's competition mountain bike and discovered how good the brakes were.

I just feel it's like putting a car bra on a Ferrari as they make these phones so nice. Not just nice looking, but feel in the hand too.

Was that the Samsung official flip cover you've had?

    • In the context of the OnePlus 7 Pro? Not so much.

There's also the 5G conundrum, as in buy next year with a fully-fledged 5G product, vs buying at the end of 4G (or a tacked-on 5G modem).

  • +2

Got one thanks OP. Been a bit of a rollercoaster on bargains today. Glad I can stop the chase now.

  • Thanks OP. I got one. :D

  • +1

What color is the best choice? I got the green but not sure …
Do you know if this support dual sims too? Thanks

    • 100% not dual sim. you need the galaxy s10+ if you want that capability (speaking of Australian market)

      • +2

you need the galaxy s10+ if you want that capability (speaking of Australian market)

The Australian S10 512GB is Dual SIM, or "Hybrid SIM" as Samsung calls it.
(Dual SIM normally only applies for non-telco branded models)

        • +1

          Thanks for correcting me.

          • +3

            @Winston100s: No Worries

Same applies for the Australian S10+ 512GB or above.

            • 128GB = Single SIM
            • 512GB = Dual SIM
            • 1TB = Dual SIM
            • +1

@oz-dave: Many thanks to both of you. Cheers

    • I also want to know about this. But It seems like single sim + sd memory slot.
But Samsuang Website says dual sim. I am confused now.

      • +3

The Australian S10 512GB is Dual SIM, or "Hybrid SIM" as Samsung calls it.
("Hybrid" meaning a choice between 2 SIMs or 1 SIM + Memory Card)

The Australian S10 128GB is Single SIM.
        (1 SIM + Memory Card)

Dual SIM normally only applies for non-telco branded models

        • Thanks for the information. I just pulled the trigger for this deal.

  • +1

What are the advantages of buying this s10 as local AU stock compared to the s10e grey stock (or any grey stock)? Sorry if it is a silly question

    • +2

24 month warranty. i'd rather pay $100-$150 to get local support than buy something from overseas and pray it doesn't break down. And if it does, good luck with the warranty claim.

    • +2

      Two year local warranty.

    • +3

Only going by what I've read, but others will correct if wrong:

      • Samsung Australia won't repair screens of grey models. Third-parties will but Samsung charges a premium to them for authentic parts.
      • I've heard Samsung Pay works on imported models.
      • not sure about samsung pay, i think it might be google pay or whatever it's called that works.
yes they won't touch the phone even if you want to pay to have it repaired. Not just samsung, any other major manufacturer won't repair grey imports

        • I've had a few screens repaired on local phones before from non-official repairers. Phones are local stock but are usually rooted.. Despite the claims of OEM glass, they always seem to break far easier than the original.

    • You are comparing a different model. Unlike s10e, s10 is rarely on sale. This is a very good price even compare to a grey stock s10.

    • Chipset is different as well

  • Thanks! That's good to know

  • Exynos or snapdragon?

    • snapdragon is not sold in s10 for AU market

    • Just got my phone today and rechecked listing. It's actaully exynos

Sorry of topic, anyone found any brand new iphone x or xs deal so far?

    • +1

      Iphone x 64 gb at costco $999

  • So $1,339 is the list price which includes GST of $121.73

Now, the price after coupon is $849

So less GST (at TRS) = $727.27 net

    Cracking price!

  • +2

Waiting for the S10+ or Note 9 deal. So used to larger phones since I've had to Note 7&8.

    • legit i want a 7'' phone

  • +1

Why did people neg my post?

If my figures are incorrect, then please correct it.

Otherwise I stand by my point.

    • +1

Yeah. I dont know why either

    • +1

What you said is correct. I said the same thing earlier in the post too, no idea why you got negged.

    • +3

Don't take it personally, there may be no logical reason for it.
I also got negged by someone for saying something correct above.

    • From: https://www.abf.gov.au/entering-and-leaving-australia/touris…
Bringing goods back into Australia for which you have already claimed a TRS refund
If you are aged 18 years or over, you can bring up to AUD 900 worth of goods into Australia duty-free, or AUD 450 if you are younger than 18. Families travelling together can pool this allowance (a couple with one child can bring in a total of AUD 900 + AUD 900 + AUD 450 = AUD 2250 worth of goods into Australia without paying duty or GST). This is called your passenger concession.

If the total value of the goods you are bringing into Australia that you purchased overseas or for which you have claimed a refund under TRS is greater than your passenger concession:

you must declare all of the goods
you will need to repay the GST refund back on the goods you claimed under the TRS
duty and GST will apply to all items purchased, not just goods over the limit of your passenger concession.
Penalties can apply if you don't declare that you have goods in excess of your passenger concession.
      .
      .

I'm not a TRS expert, but does this mean you cannot technically bring it back if you are travelling on your own? Since it's value is >$900?

      • +3

just like i am claiming this as my work phone

      • +2

Depreciation needs to be taken in to account. Value will be less on your way back home.

      • Thanks smc168

We are travelling in a pair, also factor in depreciation so all good :)

  • +1

Amazing price! So tempted to pull the trigger but hoping that some better deals come out later this year. Plus my S8 is still going strong :)

    • I think $727 is the lowest price including TRS refund.

      • to this point yes, pretty sure it will get lower towards the end of the year

  • +6

Just price matched at JB Hifi Artarmon, paid 649 plus 200 giftcard

    • Ps only green was in stock here

    • +2

That's great! I've never had much luck personally with matching ebay coupon prices

      • +1

im flat out getting jb to price match even other B&M stores - refused eb, bigw, kmart and target before lmaooo

        • +1

Yea I'm quite surprised that they'd match it with a coupon deal on eBay

          • +1

@profeeder55: They said that is fine, manager confirmed and approved

    • +1

Oh wow, good stuff. They (local Jb Hifi) wouldn't price match the Samsung Store for me the other day (the deal was one of those posted under the EPP).

They said they only price match local bricks and mortar stores.

Their loss, glad to read you managed to get them to give you a deal mate.

    • Do you have to port in to Telstra $65 plan?

    • Lucky you! I always try to do price matches at JB and if it is a big discount they never follow through.

    • Can you please post a photo of your receipt?

So others can get the same deal at B&M stores :)

  • So tempted.

  • +1

local harvey norman and the online chat both refused to match

  • Did anyone happen to save a screenshot where it said "get it now for $849"? For some reason it's not showing me that anymore. Would like to submit a price protection claim!

    Cheers

  • Thanks OP. I finally got Green.
