Men's Leather Satchel Bag

Hi all,

I was looking to buy a men's satchel bag for work/uni. I'd like it to be able to hold my 15inch laptop and preferably a water bottle, pencil case and small lunchbox too. Colour preference would be brown.

I wouldn't want to spend much more than $100 (unless necessary), so obviously not expecting designer quality or anything. I know there's plenty of options available online, but am keen to hear Ozbargain's input to help pick the best value one.

    I am looking for something similar at the moment as well. Amazon seems to have a few, but its a bit tough to know whats good without many reviews and not being able to see them in person.

    You aren't going to find a quality leather satchel for $100. Even branded nylon ones like Crumpler or Chrome tend to start at $100.

      Hmm perhaps I may be unreasonable with my price range, but I have seen a few genuine (I know this is the lowest grade) leather ones on eBay around that mark? Not sure as to quality though?

    Do you have an example of a leather satchel style that you prefer? Satchel/messenger/briefcase categories are quite interchangeable when searching online.

    Oxford have a few bags on sale atm

    I was looking for the same thing, and not wanting to spend $300-500. Got a Samsonite Leather Flapover. I managed to find on ebay auction for $78 but you could try find out yourself
