Romantic Couples Weekend in Queensland

Hello Ozbargain,

I am looking to book a romantic anniversary weekend in the middle of July somewhere driveable from Brisbane.

Looking for a place close to nature for hikes or walks that also has amenities for relaxation, spa, fireplace, hot tub, maybe option for massage.

There seem to be many lodges offered but most of them break the bank.

Any budget recommendations or deals?
Don't have a set budget just looking for something with value.

Thanks!

Sorry but some punk kids just burned down the Big Brother house, would have been perfect.

I like Rainbow beach. in winter it is cosy. there are some nice places to be rented. and during the off season/outside school holidays it should be nice.

also some great walks around the place.

Gold Coast Hinterlands is nice (E.g. Binna Burra) or perhaps up around Melaney. Both are quite close to Brisbane.

    • Bloody freezing up that way at this time of the year. I wouldn't enjoy Binna Burra in July, that's for sure.

Hit the pokie room at Greenbank RSL

You can visit all the Liberal MP offices?

Check out the mouses house retreat. I live on the GC and stayed here for a weekend and it was amazing. Good hikes close by and a very relaxing environment.

Clear Mountain Lodge, yes it’s a hotel chain, but this place is quiet, surrounded by nature with the most amazing views. It’s close to local walking/hiking/horse riding tracks too and the restaurant is amazing.

  • Noosa.

Has all of those things. Easy drive from Brisbane.

    • keep in mind this is also the caravanning/holiday suburb of choice for yappy busybody retirees xD

They don't stay on the main street where all the fun is :)

Yeah, but you also get the value out of them, hence fulfilling your 'looking for something with value' need. Nothing like what you want will ever be cheap. Of course, if you really want the best value per dollar you can camp for the sleeping part of the trip.

Otherwise, look for fancy airbnb listings in nice locations, perhaps
