Quick question: should I get my third Harrington from them? I love them, but not sure if 3 of the same brand it's a bit too much…

  • +9

Use code HARRINGTON which will make the Jacket price to $75 - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/465105

  • Can anyone comment on their suits and blazers please?

    • +16

      Sure. No comment.

    • they have sizes in the range of 38-46, but there's no such number in their size guide. What the &(&$#($ page

    • It’s all hit and miss.

Some of my favourite, long-lasting stuff is from Ben Sherman. Some of the worst clothes I’ve ordered with poor fit and no durability are from Ben Sherman. Often a bit of both in the same order.

It’s a gamble. But it’s still worth it for me overall.

      • Was just about to login and say the same thing. Good to see I'm not the only one who thinks so.

Never bought this brand before .. But looks like even the designs are from 1963..How is the quality of their products ?

    • I bought the harrington jacket when it was on sale for $69 i think and the hems are lose around the wrist and a little bit on the neck area. So disappointed.

Even my 50% off jumper that I bought from Adidas has no hems lose.

Me being paranoid if anything that if anythings on sale its probably cheaper and bad stock.

  • black or sand? which colour goes well with a tan complexion?

  • Here's a Harrington jacket , one which has reviews from Uniqlo for 20 bucks https://www.uniqlo.com/au/store/men-harrington-jacket-406483… and quality looks better than this one IMO though that might be just the pics

      100% polyester vs 100% cotton

    • Wow, can't believe it's only $20. Thanks

      OH wait it's not available

    • damn looks good, all gone though :(

  • Boy you guys are really fast :-D

  • You wouldnt want the outer shell to be cotton would you ? In my opinion a Harrington jacket is best served with polyester outers and cotton inners but like I said I have no experience with the brand..Uniqlo Harringtons are 60 bucks on regular price but like someone mentioned ..polyester shell with cotton inners ..Don't own them either so really cannot compare

    • and it says dry clean only

Polyester feels terrible though, it a versatile smart casual piece into outerwear. Most brands use treated cotton for some wind and waterproofing for their Harrington jackets. Cotton gives you the feel, drape and structure that polyester won't.

Really high-end brands will use VENTILE® Cotton on their Harrington jackets but those cost a bomb.

Cotton harringtons for 75 are not a bargain. I would look here first https://www.frenchconnection.com.au/outlet/man/clothing/coat…

      Bombers aren't Harringtons yo.

Bought the Ben Sherman Harrington on a previous sale for $67. It felt about that price - but I was expecting more considering it was half price or similar.

Returned it. Felt like inflated prices. Also measurement charts weren't accurate and was too tight for a jacket.

      • Thanks. I abandoned my cart.

      • Yeah I got a Harrington last year on sale and its quite tight and odd fitting.

        • I actually find mine are too loose-fitting for the length of the sleeves. I’ve got a Small and a Medium, and have to decide between sleeves that are slightly too short or a baggy fit.

But the same goes for most jackets these days. I have to go vintage if I want a good fit.

My biggest issue with Uniqlo is that I couldn't wreck it no matter how many times I wash them. It ruins my excuse of getting new cloths.

    • Lol really? Their t-shirts are good for only about 4-5 wash cycles.

      • New washing machine maybe?

  • very expensive this brand, like SuperDry.

      And superdry is crap

  • stuck in the 90s fashion. Loved by nerds ;)

    This is a prime example:

    Overpriced still with 50% off.

If you haven't noticed, there is a resurgence in retro things. Fashion is no exception.

Having said that though, I actually think the Harrington jacket is more of a timeless piece than a fad. All these throwaway trendy fashion will go away. I don't see that in a Harrington jacket.

  • I prefer Uniqlo Harrington jacket as well https://www.uniqlo.com/au/store/men-harrington-jacket-413982…
$60 non-sale price but much better fit and look. I am an S size and S size in Ben Sherman fit tight and sleeves were too short, M was too baggy but when I tried S size Uniqlo Harrington jacket, fit was just perfect.
