  • Cool name for a web-site, SF2 inspired? :)

    • If you'd believe it, one of the guys came into the office one day when we were still planning it all out and said "in a dream last night, I saw the name Sonic Boom" - and it stuck :) Much better than the original working name, which was so bad I'm not going to even mention it!

      • your staff need to game less and work more LOL

      • Sounds like he might be a fan of burntfaceman

  • Didnt know tidying your cables could save energy! Must get onto that… :P
I like the master/slave powerboard idea - but that foot switch power board for your computer is the dumbest thing I've ever seen!! Why would you want something that made it easier to 'bump' off your whole system!!! eeek
    Probably better for other applications…

    • That's just been added in to help people tidy up their desks :)

The foot switch powerboard does take a bit of pressure before it switches, certainly not something that you could easily "bump" to switch it off.

All of the components are available for separate purchase as well if you're interested in doing that

    • "Didnt know tidying your cables

actually it will more likely increase power usage. But not by a whole lot ;)

I think a better deal would involve energy meters and on/off timers

  • +1

I always wanted a quicker way to "power down" my PC, now i can just "tap" the switch on the powerboard.
    Instant Off….. Too easy :)
does it also come with free data recovery software?

    • LOL

    • As you hear the heads of the drives landing not so softly on your hard drive, you might wonder how long will windows need to reboot and check your drive next time you start up.

    • I got the same footswitch (but in black) from Bunnings for $20 and use it for easy access to turn off my whole entertainment system when in standby (except PVR). About 30Watt saving.
