Best USB Charging Cables

So I know there is thousands of brands, any many non/generic brands of USB charging cables.

I have bought many many cables over the years with varying success. Some of the best performers have been Anker, with a couple of chinese ones coming very close.

So I'd just like a list of brands whose cables are guaranteed high current charging in both Micro USB and Type C. And best bang for buck to!

From what I've seen on OzB, these are a few that spring to mind… (But are they all good?)

Anker
Blitzwolf
RAVPower
Tronsmart
Belkin (I'm not sold on these)

Your thoughts on these, and other suggestions please?

  • I bought one from miniso in China years ago and it’s still going well. I would check out their range here if I needed a new one.

    • Do you know what current they can supply to your devices? IE, close to the maximum?

Ideally, I want ~2A for Micro USB, and for C, whatever it can do.

  • Buy the USB cable with the lowest AWG number.

  • The only third party USB cable I've got is Blitzwolf, everyone who has seen it thinks it costed me at least several times more than what I paid.
There's a whirlpool thread on what the best USB cables/Chinese USB cables that you might be interested in, can't exactly remember it but it shouldn't be too hard to find with some Googling.

    Anker and blitzwolf both good.
RAVPower ive never tried but has a good rep.
Tronsmart's micro-usb cables weren't great. They'd fail after only a few months for me (I bought a pack of 6). Because of that I've never tried their usb-c cables.

I've been meaning to try Baseus cables but haven't had the chance yet.

Google's / Samsung's and Apple's own cables should be good of course but I imagine you'd be paying the premium for them.

Belkin is probably fine but I always equate them to the kind of people who just drop into officeworks and buy a cable without doing any research -> most likely a ripoff

  • I use a combo of Blitzwolf AmpCore and genuine Samsung cables. Genuine Samsung cables can be had for less than $5 each on eBay.

They all say genuine Samsung cables but are really just cheap copies. I've bought from several different ebay stores and none of them were able to actually replicate a real one from a box/Samsung store.

      • They ones that I have bought have been genuine, last a long time, and perfect fast data connections when connected to my computer.

        Just depends on the seller.

  • The Blitzwolf ones I bought didn't last long so I wouldn't recommend them. The Anker ones seem to be going strong for the moment, but haven't had them long enough to really make a call.
