  • Appears to have quite poor reviews on the US website, suggesting this might be a fake

I learned (original tipped off by a comment here) that Lexar is now just another cheap Chinese card. When I bought my first digital camera years ago (2MP Canon for over AUD$1,000!) Lexar were very highly regarded.

They've since been sold to a chinese company cranking out cheap cards that seem to no longer have the quality of their earlier years.

  • Why not do a warranty claim on your Samsung? Don't they have life time or ten year warranty?

  • I’ve used the Lexar 1000x microSD and speeds are pretty darn good. Faster than sandisk for sure. Buy, benchmark and complain if not

  • Looks like write speed 45-55 mb/s. Could be a factor if using in phone but seems decent. Samsung ultra with 90mb/s write for a few bucks more on special may appeal.

  • I would suggest waiting for Prime day (15-16th July).. There are usually some good memory card deals floating about.

  • Odd. My Samsung 32GB EVO+ SD card in my Note 8 died today after about 3.5 years.

  • Sadly doesn't support GoPro Hero 7 Black :(

  • I had a 512gb variant of the lexar 633x and I had high hopes it would be good as it was well priced, however the card literally died 1/2 hr after opening it and during a write test. With all the bad reviews I'm pondering if it was just bad luck and to try another one or perhaps just pony up the extra cash and get a Samsung… 512gb is a lot to lose in one go.
