Tenda MW3 Possibly Transmitting Data to Chinese Servers

I recently purchased a Tenda MW3 from this deal.

Performance-wise it's been pretty good but I've noticed on my Pi-Hole (a DNS server/adblocker) that the Tenda has been requesting for www.baidu.com around 10,000 times a day. No one in my household uses Baidu so I just blocked it but I'm very concerned about why it needs to call home so many times.

Does anyone else with a Tenda have the same issue?

      Thanks for that! That didn't turn up in my Googling, probably because I used "MW3" as a keyword.

      I guess there's nothing to worry about if there's no data in those packets. When I have some more time I guess I'll confirm it with wireshark.

      Still, it's really obnoxious having a device spamming my pihole with ~10,000 requests as mine is on a pi zero.

    Can confirm, I have the MW6 and has 16,886 requests to www.baidu.com in 7 days
