What the heck is going on with your grammar? Sort it out, that’s just embarrassing.

    • +3

I think grammar is OK if the correct punctuations are in place. I never thought I could feel disgusted seeing the unruly capital letters all over the place.

    • You're right, it should be PC!

He’s probably a kid, seen a lot of kids type like that.

I can see the movie Idiocracy becoming a reality.

    • Capital letters were going cheap, punctuation not so much…

    • +2

"Dear people who don’t use capital letters,

We’re the difference between helping your Uncle Jack off a horse and helping your uncle jack off a horse."

Correct grammar and spelling are both very important. I often wonder how many otherwise skilled people get passed over for a job due to their ignorance of this?

    PC 1 around $350
    PC 2 around $200

"2047MB NVIDIA GeForce GT 730 (Gigabyte)"

    Is that for real?

      • +3

Where did the missing megabyte go?

        • 1024 Bytes = 1MB
          Memory is measured in binary
          cheers

          • -1

@vinni9284: But usually memory is a power of 2 or a multiple of a power of 2. I think 2047MB is a rounding error of a float cast in speccy.

2GB is one over the 32 bit signed integer maximum. Slightly funny that that method allocates 2GB of memory size to negative values. Probably they should use a kilobyte as the minimum unit rather than byte…or 64 bit integers.

Benchmarks for the first one are worse than the $350 budget build on whirlpool.

It's been used so I think it's only really worth $250 at best.

G5400 has better single core performance which is actually the more important statistic.

No idea why anyone would want to buy them. They seem pretty low spec for when they were current years ago.

My 7 year old gaming PC has better specs than those 2 combined.

  • +3

What everyone is basically saying is accurate. They're not worth much at all. Don't bother trying to sell them.

    • It is worth something as the GPU alone on PC1 is worth $105 brand new

      Cheers

      • +2

That GPU is pretty much worthless, only use is for a headed Server, or for someone with an old system that has no integrated GPU.

Most new integrated GPUs will actually beat it. Certainly most of the VEGA iGPUs will.

        • Regardless it's a cheap system and a dedicated GPU is better than O/B.
Especially when you buy it really cheap

          • +1

@vinni9284: Actually the new integrated graphics will beat this card, that's what I was saying.

            • @AdosHouse: True but what price point considering that it is only imbedded in a CPU and you need the rest of the hardware?
This is a complete PC and ready to go.

              Cheers

      • you can get way better gpu's used for around a $100. I bought a r9 270x for $113 mid 2017. There were better deals too. It's more worth like $40 or $50 imo.

  • +7

    PC1 $100
    PC2 $150

  • Someone will likely buy it off marketplace but prepare for hagglers

    • Best upgrade for them would be to stick the OS on a SSD

  • +2

You might get $100 for each if you are lucky.

  • +3

I'll trade you for a paper clip

  • +7

I'll give you free grammar and punctuation lessons for 12 months for them.

  • +3

I Don't Think They Are Worth Much

  • I would try a $30 ssd + moving all the ram to the first computer before you sell it. Should speed things up quite a bit. Then you just need a gpu for about $150 - 200? Or $120 odd used? gtx 1050ti or rx 480 etc.

  • Look on eBay to see what they are selling for

    Try out a price

    See what enquiries you get.

    Adjust price accordingly

  • Realistically worth $50 each, considering what you can actually pickup on ocau second hand for 250 (ie a PC that can still game decently). Or the fact you can get a PC for browsing which is better than this, with warranty, from the eBay deals for 200ish.

You may find someone willing to pay 100-150 on gumtree or ebay. But they will be getting a poor deal.

  • It's worth a 6 pack or 2
