      You are joking right?

    • +4

      Where'd you get that idea??

    • CyberPunk 2077 is probably the most anticipated game in Western society. Devs are bored of The Witcher, this keeps the artists creative.

      • I'd expect more from a He-Man. Most anticipated titles are the quickest to die in the water. Just look at Anthem.

        • I agree. It's awesome if it's as good as anticipated but highly doubt it

        • So its dead im the water merely because its popular pre release? That doesn't seem right.

    • I'm all for good trolling but that's pretty low effort mate.

The troll has accomplished exactly what he intended, he will be well fed for some time.

      | nice game. they should working on Witcher 4, 2077 seems dead in the water…

      To everyone who replied, whoosh

EDIT Getting down voted by the Salt Lords…

  • What are the differences between Wild Hunt and Game Of The Year?

    • +18

      dlc. very worth, much good.

    • +4

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt comes with the base game and the Game of the Year edition includes all DLC released for the game.

The DLC's are amazing and I highly recommend it, but the base game on it's own will still give you hundreds of hours of story and gameplay.

    • +4

GOTY doesn't include DLC, it includes the two expansions. DLC doesn't do them justice as there is 20 to 30 hours of high quality content in each one.

      • Hearts of Stone, Hired by the Merchant of Mirrors, Geralt is tasked with overcoming Olgierd von Everec, a ruthless bandit captain enchanted with the power of immortality.

      • Blood and Wine, Explore Toussaint, a remote land untouched by war, where you will unravel the horrifying secret behind a beast terrorizing the kingdom. With all trails leading to dead ends, only a witcher can solve the mystery and survive the evil lurking in the night.

    • Just my 2c - you may be fine with the standard edition as there is 100+ hours of gameplay in it alone.

Expansions are supposed to be great, but I never got around to them!

    • +2

The expansions are great, blood and wine was absolutely stellar.

    • +4

You are doing yourself a disservice if you don't get the GOTY edition as the fun and enjoyment more than makes up for the Extra few dollars it will cost and I can honestly say some of the best gameplay from Witcher 3 was had in the Blood and Wine DLC. Can 100% recommend it!

    • Get the expansions. They're amazing.

Significant update to a texture mod being released 17/07/2019, it also doesn't have a massive impact on performance.

Heard about this a couple days ago. Seeing stuff like this just makes me want to play the game again! I LOVE MODS lol.

Also use Reshade (just just for Witcher Der Wilde Jadg but any DirectX 9 thru 11 game except for ones with harsh anti-cheat protection like PUBG). It can apply goood MSAA anti aliasing, edge sharpening and highpass sharpening, debanding, S curves, vibrance enhancement, DPX, etc. Link here: https://reshade.me/

ENB is game specific (good for Oldrin and GTA4 for instane) but Reshade is universal.

SweetFX was it's predesessor, easier to configure with with better default presets but only DirectX 9.

I don't watch Youtube much, but UBlock seems to prevent Youtube ads. Advertisements drive me nuts too.

Here's a file of mods I use. Chuck the Mods folder into your Witcher 3 install location. TW3 will take an extra 10 seconds or so to boot, but these addons are worth it

You can fast travel without using a signpost!

This one is really good because you can open the map and ssee what quests are close to you. When I first started I noticed that I'd keep bypassing things I could have turned in

This one is made by one of the senior devs of the witcher. Just changes things he wants and makes the game harder/easier in some aspects. Also removes "junk" loot so you don't spend time opening boxes full of shite. You only see boxes/crates with things worth looking at.

If you want a "true" experience then stay away. But if you want a less grindy experience, then indulge yourself. The first mod could be the most controversial. I for one do I not enjoy exploring a cave for 10 minutes and then having to find my way out of it and then run/ride back to the quest givers location.

I did the fast travel from Roach mod as a half way

  • Is this a good price?

    • +3

Yes! This is only the second time the price has dropped this low.

    • beyond good. but you better go with the goty edition as it is highly recommended above.

      • +1

Thanks bought the GOTY edition. Never played a Witcher game but heard it's amazing so will give it a go

edit: Damn I missed that it was a GoG key, wish it was steam!

        • +1

It's better that it's a GOG key. They have a ton of free extras including wallpapers, soundtracks, comics and artbooks, and also no DRM so you can download the installers directly.

        • +4

normally people who buy it on gog see it as an advantage because no drm

  • Great game, currently playing it on ps4.

  • need steam key :(

  • Thanks, got the GOTY for $16.96 after HB credit and some Paypal balance which I didn't know I had, bonus!

  • The Nintendo Switch version will be the clear definitive edition of the title.

  • Looks like this has expired now?

    • next time press report and click expired so the mods can set to expired :)
