    I have been switching between EUR, US and JP cartridges. You don't need to do anything to get them running. Just plug and play as usual.

      I guess for US/JP games you'll need an account set to that region to collect the gold points?

        Yep we will need the respective regional account to collect Gold coins.
        DLCs are a bit trickier. Whether or not DLC has to match your game region depends on the game.

  Does anyone know if they're releasing an edition of this down the track with the main DLCs included? Or if I've not been looking hard enough, is it already out? Hoping to avoid paying Nintendo estore prices for the DLCs

    They might have more DLCs on the way, but not enough content it seems to bundle up as a new edition.
    So far they only released 2 DLCs and it was back in last November when the game was out.

      Ah fair enough. I always find the vanilla version a bit lacking with CIV games. But once they put out a couple of the bigger DLCs things get a bit more interesting. I might hang out and wait a bit then!
