Nobody especially on ozb should be buying a vitamix which is just not a smart decision. Just do a search on precious vitamix deals and you'll see plenty of reasons and alternatives.

What's wrong with the Vitamix? I've only heard good things about it.

Just because it's more expensive, doesn't mean it's not worth it?

There are better alternatives out there. Froothie for starters - longer warranty, cheaper, local supplier and more powerful motor.

But is this just like a debate between what is better, an android or iphone? I'm sure there are pros/cons to each blender… Too late for me anyway hahah!

using blenders for 20+ years professionally. The Vitamix is, hands down, the best choice.

Did anyone else think this was some sort of Lantern at first glance?

I hope my husband buys one for me

If your husband is smart he'll buy an air fryer at $99, not at the inflated prices these VitamiX go for. The cost price is low and the patent has long expired. You're paying for their marketing now.
