Nobody especially on ozb should be buying a vitamix which is just not a smart decision. Just do a search on precious vitamix deals and you'll see plenty of reasons and alternatives.

    • What's wrong with the Vitamix? I've only heard good things about it.

Just because it's more expensive, doesn't mean it's not worth it?

There are better alternatives out there. Froothie for starters - longer warranty, cheaper, local supplier and more powerful motor.

But is this just like a debate between what is better, an android or iphone? I'm sure there are pros/cons to each blender… Too late for me anyway hahah!

@Crimzin: The thing rotates. One can rotate faster/more torque. There is not much to it.

@Calvin27: I don't know much about blenders, but I know that there's a lot more to it than a rotating motor. If that was all, then why is my Nutribullet leaking? Oh wait, there's other components to a blender??? waaaaaaa, who'd have thought? ;)

              • @Crimzin: Maybe because you confused it for a phone.

using blenders for 20+ years professionally. The Vitamix is, hands down, the best choice.

      • How does one become a professional blender operator? Where did you get your certification?

        • Work in a bar? A restaurant? Run a juice franchise? An ice cream store? A cafe?

The highly respected online institution of Blitz University New Delhi. Very good school online.

@lowballer: If you buy the certificate, I mean course, in the next 10 minutes, we will throw in a free PHD in Astrophysics.

    But…. will it blend?

Did anyone else think this was some sort of Lantern at first glance?

  • made in usa?

  • I hope my husband buys one for me

    • If your husband is smart he'll buy an air fryer at $99, not at the inflated prices these VitamiX go for. The cost price is low and the patent has long expired. You're paying for their marketing now.
