I suspect those are the regular terms when there is a differential between cashback rates for new and existing customers; if not the promotion is misleading.

Do note that the 15% for Booktopia is applicable for both new and existing customer of Booktopia
book depository still seems to be 3.5% for me.
Stay away from this mob!! Don’t track and POOR customer service.
