@Gearvita - some of us have been burnt by other sellers claiming to have this phone "in-stock", when they do not. Can you please confirm you have actual stock of this phone?

    • +2

Most of these sellers just take orders and then bulk buy from China or HongKong warehouse. Even if they said in-stock, it will take 2 weeks for them to actually get the stock and distribute locally.

  • How is xiaomi's UI? And are they slow to roll out Android updates?

    • I bought the Mi 9T a little while ago. Although I haven't had it for long, it's had more updates than my Samsung galaxy tab s4. Most people have mentioned that updates come quite regularly.

UI is very customisable, there's dark mode, gesture navigation, a lot of things can be customised. Camera is great on the Mi 9T, but I do recommend using a different launcher just because I prefer an app drawer with a search bar over having to organise my apps into folders. The poco launcher on the Play store is more or less the same as MIUI but with an app drawer

Xiaomi has been fairly good in budget/mid range market in rolling out Android update, with Pie coming to many previous gen budget model. The A3 is supposed to be Android One (but this is just CC9e with "Global ROM"?, not actual A3) so you got updates covered and pure Android skin.

MIUI on my Pocophone F1 is fairly good, but it's supposed to be less bloated than other MIUI. It doesn't feel as fluid as my Pixel 2 which has an older SoC (SD 835 vs 845 on the F1) but it has some convenient features.

  • God that's a good price. almost wanna upgrade from my Mi 8

    • I've got the Mi 9T. Keep in mind that it has the Snapdragon 730. If you are after the Snapdragon 855, you'll need to look at the regular Mi 9 or the upcoming Mi 9T Pro

      • Ah thanks, forgot about that :)

Joybuy sells K20 Pro which is the same as 9T Pro. https://www.joybuy.com/600917681.html

        • +2

No band 28 on K20 Pro, 9T Pro will have it. Absolutely not the same.

          • +1

@xyron: Also the Mi 9T and Mi 9T Pro have widevine L1 so we can enjoy Netflix and YouTube in HD. The Redmi k20 and k20 pro only have widevine L3 so you're stuck in 480p.

I also noticed you are selling a phone that hasn't even been announced (Xiaomi Mi A3) … that's interesting.

    • It’s the CC9e, it’s apparently the A3 or will be the A3 for global markets

  • Has anyone had to deal with Gearvita regarding warranty issues? How was your experience?

  • Does gearvita charge GST? Is this price inclusive of GST?

    • Just placed an order and it turns out they dont.

  • +3

Ordered two Xiaomi Mi 9T's and it looks like it only applied the discount to one phone instead of both. Have sent inquiry, hopefully I can get refunded the difference..

  • +1

Dammit. Bought a Mi 9T last week from them at AU$491…and they still haven't sent it.

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/468349

Perhaps I should cancel that order and purchase this one /s

    • They claim to have stock but if your phone hasn't shipped yet from a week ago… This is concerning..

      • Should be a OzB rule…if the seller sells the same item at a cheaper price, all current buyers get the lower price if their products haven't shipped yet LOL

All jokes aside, yeah it's concerning especially when they said they had the product In Stock.

    • I ordered one for AU$493 last Sunday (7 Jul). Used "contact us" page to try cancel the order on Thursday (11 July) due to long waiting. Now it changes from processing as complete with track number not found in system. I wonder if it's delay in database or it's a fake number to pretend that they ship it.

  • Can not wait for the mi a3 i have the a1 and a2 but really looking forward to having b28 and hopefully nfc.

You must be very ahead of xiaomi itself selling a phone that hasn't even announced yet. Is this even legal to scam people with a totally different phone running a different OS?

  • +1

The Mi cc9e will be equivalent of the Mi A3lite not the MiA3.

  • Would like to hear some comments from those who have the TV Box H96 MAX. For example as compared to Vodafone TV Box and/or X96 MINI.

  • Website's down

  • FK. Ordered the Xiaomi 9T yesterday from Gearbeast ($508…). DHL says shipment information recieved. Can i cancel it or not?

    • You can try but be prepared to wait given how long some of us have waited just for this to be shipped out from Gearvita.

Their status of In Stock is a joke.

  • +2

    Anyone's been shipped yet?

  • Am I the only one slightly sceptical about this deal due to the images of the phones in the links actually being the Redmi K20 and not the (global) Mi 9T? Hopefully these aren't K20's with a global ROM…

Guessing no one has recieved their Mi 9T from this deal yet?

    Hmm…

    • Is there even any difference in visuals between k20 and 9t

      • Visually the only difference is just the brand logo on the rear (the one in the above deal has the Readmi branding on it). Colour options etc are the same.

Obviously though there are quite important differences between the Readmi branded K20 and the Xiaomi branded Mi 9T, namely the extra bands/frequencies and the official global ROM. As the Mi 9T hasn't officially been released in Australia, most if not all of the proper 'global' versions available to us are actually European phones.

From my point of view, I require Band 28 / 700mhz in order to get any reception in my house (and solely from Telstra, no other carrier works in my house - its a terrace in the inner west of Sydney…). I've tested this using the LTE Discovery app, and I get between 1 to 2 bars of Band 28 at home… if not for that band (or for Telstra) I'd have to keep my mobile on my front window sill like my wife used to when we first bought the place and she was on Vodafail! So yeah, Band 28 is sort of important for me haha. :|

        • I'd trust that these are the global Mi 9t devices, gearvita has separate listings for the k20
          https://gearvita.com/xiaomi-redmi-k20-4g-smartphone.html

Also the listing for the Mi 9t shows B28 as a supported band, the link above for the k20 does not list b28 as being available.

I have since received a non-functioning tracking number for my order, so at least things are progressing.

  • I messaged Gearvita the day of this post. 6 days later I get an email saying the 9T is popular and it will be in stock in 14 business days. Caveat emptor.

    • +1

I have a tracking number but not registered to aus post as of yet. Not sure if they have fulfilled the order or awaiting stock
