Good question. One disadvantage of AGL Rewards is that usually there is a 1% credit card surcharge on gift cards. Also they take a few days to arrive. Still, better than nothing.
I find switching to amazon has been a good alternative. That cash back is a nice incentive.
You can pay by EFT to avoid CC surcharge.
The issue with AGL gift cards is that it takes several days before you get them.

You can buy Coles egift cards from Suncorp Benefits app (%5 off) and then buy eBay physical gift cards at Coles in-store with those Coles egift cards.
I thought Coles and Woolworths stopped all buying of physical gift cards with their own gift cards?
Much harder to find a Coles store that will do that now.
I have tried this on 2 different stores a couple of months ago and it worked.
@happydragon: I tried last week at Coles Pyrmont and broadway and got denied. Also haven’t had any luck with Woolies or Big W in a while either.
I’ve just posted a 1.5% cashback at Shopback for EBay gift cards at Auspost.
$3 saved on a $100 is not a bargain.

And from reading that these are not even instant/electronic.. in this day and age ffs don't wanna thunk it
One thing I really liked about eBay gift cards though is once you add to your account or use it to pay, it automatically offer to use it in your next purchase (until fully used up) and also shows the balance. I wish more stores/sites did that.
FYI These take forever to arrive. They are not instant.
