I'm looking for a good 1440p monitor with at least 75hz(would prefer around 100hz) refresh rate, under 600 aud would be nice.

  • Look for a 2nd hand Acer Predator X34P, for that price brand new, i am pretty sure it doesnt exist.

    • Cheapest one i could find was for 1079 aud

the 1 used one i found was on sale for 1164 aud

      • look at some 2nd hand trading forums, ive seen them as low as $600

  • I use one of these at the place I'm completing my internship.

  • I would recommend AOC AG241QG,It's not the best looking out there but it is a great monitor, you can pick one up from MSY for 580$
It is 24", 144hz,QHD, G-Sync enabled with fast response time.
AFAIK, this monitor uses the same panel(pretty much the same ,probably not identical panel from AUO) as the more expensive ASUS PG279Q(800$ on sale,950-1000$ Normal price)

  • if you can push your budget go the Acer Predator XB271HU 27 inch, its currently $815 new on ebay.

  • The 32" LG 32GK650F is worth a look.

Has been as cheap as $489 new - https://www.scorptec.com.au/product/Monitors/25plus-inch/747…

Overall the reviews are very positive for a budget 1440p 144hz 32".

I have been very happy with it.

  • I have this, got it from Kogan ebay, was listed as $400 (maybe sale price), using an ebay coupon and discounted ebay vouchers and cashback, cost me ~$350 in the end.

Consider the panel type you want, e.g. TN or IPS or VA etc. Just another variable to throw into the mix.

I'm happy with this monitor given the price. The colours aren't as good as my old Dell U2713HM (~$600ish), but the Dell is only 60hz.

    • I'd prefer VA but another thing that is sorta of a concern is the screens brightness. I found this monitor (https://www.samsung.com/us/computing/monitors/uhd-and-wqhd/2…)

Not sure if its good but it only has 300cd/m2 and im not sure if thats bright enough?

      • I'd prefer IPS panel all things being equal.

        Googled this, seems useful: https://www.reddit.com/r/Monitors/comments/a4sb7q/how_much_d…

My current room doesn't get as much natural light as I'd like, so this monitor (being 250 cd/m2) seems fine and I don't think I've wanted it brighter. In another setting I'm not sure if it would be bright enough or not. My old house had a lot more natural light, but at the time I was using another monitor with 350 cd/2 brightness. I can't offer much help sorry.
