Alibaba Website Question

I have found a Samsung tablet cover at Alibaba.com I wish to purchase for my own personal use (just 1)

As I have never used this website previously, can anyone tell me do I have to be a business owner or can I just be regular customer.

I have been messaging the company using the Alibaba website and wanted to know how safe this website is before I send my money or should I stick with places like aliexpress.

Anyone used Alibaba before?

    Anyone used Alibaba before?

I've used it a few times for cheaper stuff, never had any issues. Just a regular customer not business.

Bought a couple of watches from them. Worked out cheaper than getting 1 locally.

just use aliexpress seriously. how come you get the idea about buying 1 cover from alibaba its amazed me.
alibaba is mostly for buying bulk. for retails, aliexpress (in english) and taobao (in chinese) aliexpress will be slightly more expensive than taobao but i guarantee the difference will not make you broke. and yes they are safe. probably second biggest after ebay in the world.

Just say you are a business owner in Australia and that you'd like a sample. Then they'd be more likely to sell you a single unit.

Companies with the 'onsite check' badge are more trustworthy. Gold supplier status doesnt mean much imo.

Havent looked at the 'Trade Center' option/badge but looks promising. Moreso applicable for large/contracted orders I think.

  • Never Used Alibabar. Have used AliExpress… probably 100+ times. The main problem is that postage can take forever (2 months sometimes)

  • Thanks to everyone that posted.
I think I will go ahead as the item is half the price and they are sending me just one.
