Shipito/US Freight Forwarders

Hey everyone.

Just curious as to anyone's experiences with shipping forwarders, such as Shipito. Looking to have several low-value items shipped over here which are only available in the US. Small packages. Shipping cost seems to be $50 flat rate up until $250 value, at which the price increases. However they say that they will take photos and provide tracking. Bit nervous shipping it to them and afraid they may say it just didn't arrive.

Anyone had good/bad experiences with any US Shipping forwarders? Would love to hear any thoughts on the matter and would love if someone could vouch for any forwarders, or recommend me one.

    I used Shipito about 5 years ago. no problem.

      More info please? Looking for anecdotal experience, I know there's a variety of providers out there who do this.

        I used them for the first time this month, the system works, notified of parcel within 1 day and sent out the next business day.

        The US seller I purchased from printed a shipping label which cut off the suite number, parcel could have been lost in planet express' system because of this issue but wasn't. I will use them again as everything is easy, including the customs declaration. After using their service they email a referral link which they'd like people to share, I'll include it here if you want to use it.

          Have you ordered something again or this was your only order yet? I've read some reviews and they seem like a good option thanks to their customer support and good rates.

    I used them for the first time 6mths ago to ship some Tommy Hilfiger items from their US store. I used to use PriceUSA but they no longer operate and was nervous trying a new service, but had no issues whatsoever and would use them again.

      Just confirming that was Shipito? How much did you end up paying for shipping through them?

    TLDR: avoid shiptio at all costs, they tried an insurance scam on me.

    I've been using Shipito each month for around 5 years, zero loss rate. 1 item potentially delivered locally to the wrong address - in this instance shipito were hopeless in their customer service/follow up, I was left to deal with the local delivery carrier (who didnt really want to deal with me as shipito were their customer - not me) - none the less several hundred deliveries with 1 problem over many years is a great track record. Sometimes their weight system is a little bit off (in their favour) as in they charge more than the item actually weighs, but I think this is due to human error rather than intentional fraud.

      Wow, okay! Just curious, what have you been ordering each month for five years? Also, what's their shipping cost like? I'm planning to purchase a few phone cases, how much do you reckon that would run me in your experience of shipping packages? Is it worth paying for their premium service?

        they have a quote estimator. best to use the details of the product provided by the seller and tap those in to the shipito quote estimator.

    used comgateway many times without issues. shipito is basically the same, many people use it without issues.

    Shipito were great a few years ago but they have changed owners since and I've heard they've become pretty dodgy. Also be careful what you ship with them, I had Shipito knock back a rifle scope that I ordered from the US last year, it was a heap of stuffing around with them to try and get it back to the seller and sent a different way. The old Shipito owners never had an issue posting that kinda stuff, but these new people just refused even though shipping a scope is totally legal.
