  • Is there any way to get the plus version of this (the yellow one with 60W USB-C output) in Australia?

    • +2

Google shows it nowhere. Gooloo website only links to the Amazon US page which is

      Currently unavailable https://www.amazon.com/GOOLOO-MacBook-SuperSafe-Delivery-Por…

      • Any idea how much US $ this used to cost when available, and could you get this shipped to Australia without the freight forwarding?

I have the Gooloo 1500 mAh same as this deal and really happy with it, but would love my next one to be this beast lol.

    • I wanted the same but I ended up buying it on amazon US on a work trip. Funny how the trip caused my battery to die and thus I had to use it right as I come back.

  • +2

Thanks OP! Just what I was looking for. I had my eye on a cheaper model just two days ago and was holding off for Prime Day!

    • After receiving and testing this one you will be glad you got this as it's a great unit. Being able to charge this unit via usb is in itself a great feature, usb c PD a nice bonus. Also great reserve starting capacity always handy to have.

  • +2

Good price! Got the smaller 800A version and it's excellent. This one would be a beast!

    • +3

This one starts my 4.0l falcon easily without the car battery connected

      • thanks for this - trying to decide whether to get 1500A and 800A

I guess I don't need a big one to start the motorbike

  • how does this model compare to other power bank jump starters?

also noticed the jump start cable looks very short

    • +2

I've got the model down in size and it turns my V8 over no problem at all so this one will start anything.
Yes, the cables are very short but it's not an issue as the thing is so light it can sit anywhere in your engine bay while you use it.

    • Why would the cables need to be long? It only has to hook up to one battery.

      • Also the voltage and current drops the longer the wires.

      • @RolandWaites

Not necessarily. In my car, it is recommended to jump start using some terminals under the bonnet, rather than having to access the battery hidden in the boot.

        • I don't see why that requires long cables. Jumper points are no different to directly on to the battery.

  • +1

    Thank you BA, ordered one.

  • +1

thank you so much. just bought one.

  • +1

Thanks Op, was looking for something like this from long time, ordered one

  • +1

It's only a couple bucks, but don't forget cashback rewards. Better in your pocket.

  • Gonna wait to see how much this comes up as - as this will be one of the amazon prime deals with 25% or more off (so should be less than this)
    https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B07K3ZF4HN/

    • DC Output is a bit confusing on that one, the product pictures say it's 16.8V but the text only mentions 12V.

      • Has decent reviews and the lightning Deal price is now live - $87.99

        • It looks like this one also includes the 12v dc adapter which seems to be an extra on the Gooloo unit.

          • @mrh68: It doesn't have a wall charger though, where this one does. Might take a while charging via USB C. depending on your adapter.

      • Also, Gooloo 19800 mAh vs Teckpow 12000 mAh battery if that concerns :)

        • Thanks BA, I ordered the Gooloo unit for the extra capacity.

  • I've read/heard that these lithium ones are dangerous to keep attached after the vehicle is cranked and could cause a fire, is this fact or myth?

    • They do have surge and reverse charge protection, no idea how well it works if you left it on there for ages but I'm not sure why you would. Connect, start the car, disconnect and drive.

  • So, is this only 1 discount per order?

    • I think code works for 1 item per order.
You can make another order I guess with same code

      • That's not what the description says:

Save 34% each on GOOLOO 1500A Jump Starter G1500 offered by GOOLOO Direct when you purchase 1 or more.

Plus the code seems to be one-time use only, won't be accepted if you've already used it.

  • Anyone purchased this very recently. Coming up 149 for me via app and prime signin. Thanks

  • +1

Good Deal. Hope to have the 800A deal back as well.

    • I agree. 800A seems a more realistic figure as long as it can deliver and both models are of the same battery capacity anyway. But I guess the 1500A model has bigger profit margin.

  • can they price beat the amazon lightning price of $87.99?
    https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B07K3ZF4HN/

    • This looks to be very similar spec to the GOOLOO model, and it's cheaper. I don't know which is better.

      • +2

TrekPow is a bit sneaky by only stating power capacity as 44.4 Wh. Assuming a voltage of 3.7V, that converts to 12000mAh. If both brands provide honest data, it is 2/3 of what GOOLOO has to offer.

        • Supposedly it has 18000mAh capacity.

          • +1

@ssquid: Why not just do the maths rather than 'supposing'? The TrekPow page clearly has these two figures: 44.4Wh and 3.7V.

            • -1

@serin: "Supposedly" because that is what they directly state, in contrast to the maths.
              https://www.aboxtek.com/products/abox-trekpow-jump-starter
Look at the third picture (from the left).

              • @ssquid: It's fine you only look at the fancy ad words on the picture when making purchase decision and good luck with that. But if you dug further to its pdf User Manual(at the same page) before negging me, you would have found it says 44.4Wh.

                • @serin: I never said I believed it (why do you think I used "supposedly" to describe their claim…) and I wouldn't touch their dodgy looking product with a ten foot pole. But don't let that stop you enjoying being on your high horse.

                • @serin: I've fixed some of those negs, serin. Thanks for the valuable info.

        • You are correct @serin.. TrekPow is 12000mAh

      • I'd take the GOOLOO simply for the included wall charger.

        • Im thinking of pulling the trigger on the trekpow

Got plenty of USB wall chargers

      • +3

Did some google to know more and difference between these
GOOLOO 1500A Peak car jump starter has 19800 mAh battery capacity.
However, Trekpow 1500A Peak Car Jump Starter is 12000mAh

        https://www.amazon.ca/ask/questions/Tx277IZ5QROOE4O/ref=ask_…

        Hope this helps

  • Does it have to be at full power to be able to jump start a car? Isn't that a pain to make sure it's charged up all the time?

I find it boggling that such a tiny device could start a 7L diesel engine, amazing how far technology has come.

    • +2

A full capacity should give you multiple jump-starts before resorting to a recharge. This is determined by the battery capacity of the model and more important than the advertised 1500A current IMHO. This GOOLOO model is better than the TrekPow one because the capacity is 50% higher, meaning more jump-starts in one charge. On the other hand, even if you are not using it, make sure to recharge it every few months.

  • +1

This thing is an absolute beast! Used mine twice in the last week (two different cars) and started both fully drained batteries without an issue. If your sitting on the fence with this one, pull the trigger as its damn handy to have around!

    • -1

why don't you replace your car batteries?

why they are they getting fully drained?

      • They were not my cars - was helping some relo's out! but thank you for your concern :)

  • This deal looks cooked, back to $149.99 no Prime discount…?

    • +2

Did you try the code? Mine showed $149 until I applied the code in cart.

  • +1

Lightning deal now going, $115.59 - does the code still take off $51?

Edit: nope, can't be applied making this deal currently unobtainable.

    • +2
      • It didn’t work for me. I attempted to purchase another and cancel yesterday’s order. Perhaps it is because I had already used the code.

        • +1

yes that is probably the reason and you also purchased it already with that code.

I also managed to get for $64.59 cos lucky I didn't buy it yet.

      • Wow.. :)

    • it can be applied provided you haven't bought it and used the code already.

      • do you need prime membership to purchase at lightning deal price?

        • depends on the deal

need to check each one to see yourself

          • @pinkybrain: thanks mate, appreciate the info for future reference

  • wow I cant believe I missed it for $64.59!

  • Great!

  • Would anyone know if the 1500A unit would be acceptable hand luggage onboard a flight?

    • +1

Most airlines allow up to 20,000mAh (100Wh)
this one is 19,800mAh, so yeah you can. But check with your specific airline.
1500A is the peak cranking amps, not the battery capacity.

  • Prime Price is now $99.99 and the code is not working anymore.
