    https://www.pritikin.com/one-fatty-meal-cause-heart-attack

"WHAT COULD BE WRONG WITH A BURGER AND SHAKE EVERY NOW AND THEN?
Can one fatty meal increase your risk of a heart attack? Yes, warns a growing body of research. One fatty meal full of saturated fat, for example, was found to mess up the ability of “good” HDL cholesterol to protect against damage to arteries.

    Cake to Die For
These two slices of cake may look the same, and have the same number of calories and fat, but their effects on your body may be very different. One could turn your blood to "sludge."

In one study, scientists at the Heart Research Institute in Sydney, Australia, fed a slice of carrot cake and a milkshake to 14 healthy, normal-weight men and women, ages 18 to 40. The following month, the subjects came back for another cake-and-shake meal.

Both meals were the same in their amounts of calories and total fat but very different in the type of fat they contained. One meal was made with coconut oil, which is 90% saturated fat. The other contained safflower oil, which is predominately polyunsaturated fat.

The immediate effect on the subjects’ arteries was very different, too. Three and six hours after each meal, the scientists measured blood flow and assessed how well HDL was protecting arteries from inflammation. What they found is enough to make us put those saturated fat-rich burgers and shakes down forever."

      Get off your high horse

Just warning you, that stuff will make you sick, no high horse involved.

    • After reading that, I checked Grill'd to see if they use palm oil or what.

      https://www.grilld.com.au/nutrition/the-good-oil

What oil do you use to cook your chips?

We use a blend of high oleic sunflower, high oleic canola and cottonseed oil. All our oil is non GMO.

We believe it’s an excellent oil for our chips as the oil itself has a neutral flavour, giving our chips the most genuine flavour possible. We also rotate the oil to ensure it’s always fresh.

**Do you use any other oils?**

Yes, we use extra virgin olive oil as a dressing on our Superpower Salad.

      **Are your oils vegan?**

      They certainly are.

I'm not sure if they are saying
      - "We use extra virgin olive oil" (and that's it for the list of other oils used)
      - "We use extra virgin olive oil" (and we haven't mentioned other oils that are used)

      I hope it's the former

      • Vegetable oil is even worse for slugging the blood than saturated fat, Pritikin reviewed a study on blood slugging and found the people who drank butter fat after 6 hours the fat started leaving the blood, with the safflower oil after 9 hours the fat was still all in the blood after 9 hours and they don't know when it would have gone away because they had to send the patients home after 9 hours. No matter the type of fat, it's all very bad for you if you consume more than 5%-10% of your total calories from fat which translates to only eating very low fat foods.

  • Don't have that offer in my Android app in VIC

  • Found in my junk folder. Thank you.

  • Grill'd only seem to give these promotions away to people who have made recent purchases. They're pretty stingy like that and not surprising they were done for under paying their teenage work force. Great company.
