[Amazon Prime] SteelSeries Arctis 7 (2019 Edition) Wireless Gaming Headset $162.09 Delivered (Expedited) @ Amazon US via AU

Not as good as the Cloud Flight deal, and this comes in white only.

Again, this does not work wireless with an XBox, so seek out the Arctis 9 or something else.

Different sound signature than the Cloud Flight, mic is inferior (though retracts into the earcup) but it's not a deal breaker if you want a lighter pair of headphones and different aesthetic to most gaming-styled headsets. Enjoy!

  • Love my cloud flights, well worth the cash, range is top notch!

  • Anyone used both and what would you suggest?
I have a boof head also haha

The Arctis is crap and uncomfortable. Trust me, speaking from experience. They hurt my ears so much I couldn't wear it for more than an hour at a time. No experience with the Hyper X. If you're anything like me, the clamping force on the Arctis will be too great to be comfortable.

I have my trusty Sennhesier Game Zero and they are easily the best gaming cans I've ever used, not wireless though.

      • The 2019 edition has been improved, less clamping force, more cushion on ear cups, better sound quality, or do you mean the 2019 edition?

      • Thats just you Arctis is comfortable and has amazing 7.1 sound and it lasts for a long time

    • +1

Both should be comfortable, but check info online if you're worried. Arctis has a stronger clamping force, but not alarmingly so.

      Regarding sound differences: https://www.rtings.com/headphones/tools/compare/hyperx-cloud…

Flight has better bass, Arctis has slightly better mids, and they handle treble a bit differently (Flight rolls it off at the high end, the Arctis tries for it but adds a bit to the mid-treble to achieve it). I think most people prefer Flights, but the Arctis are slightly better for more genres of music. The mic on the Flight is superior.

    • neither go senn game one or zero depending on preference.

      • If you're spending more than this on a wired gaming headset, just move onto genuine audiophile gear and have a blast.

        • Should do it earlier anyway. Game zero/one are senns to start off with.

          • @abuch47: Starting with $180+ wired gaming headsets is not sound budgeting advice, nor a good starter move.

You can get great standalone headphones from $50 through $200 that shit all over even the Sennheiser Game series, because they about as budget as open backs can get.

Felt the need to sign up to Ozbargain just to say this. Have been using the Arctis 7s for a year now (2018 model). Unless the have made substantial modifications for the 2019 model, I believe they are among the best gaming headsets available. The clamping force is minimal for my medium sized head, the microphone is amazing, and the audio quality is great. Some tweaking using the Peace equaliser software really bring out it's hidden qualities (search Arctis 7 on reddit for more info). I definitely recommend them.
