Save up to 50% on Luxury Beauty Appliances from GHD (and Braun, Clarisonic, Foreo and Philips) is the Amazon deal.

I picked up a Gold Professional Styler for only $197.99 (down from $285) but this is now out of stock because it was a great deal. However the GHD Original Styler is still available.
It's not 50% off but it is very rare to get ANY discount on GHD so 21% off is pretty good! A great higher end straightener that's been around for a LONG time and set the trend when dead straight hair was all the rage. Still awesome for straightening and making curls and waves. Yeah there's some talk it's not as good as it used to be, and $300 straighteners are better but this is a excellent product for this price point. This is not your average $30 Phillips.

Also available:
* Max Styler $194.99 (was $280)
* Classic Wave Wand $167.99 (was $210)
* Soft Curl Tong $169.99 (was $245)
* Creative Curl Wand $167.99 (was $210)
* Classic Curl Tong $167.99 (was $210)
* Air Dryer $175.99 (was $220)
* Mini Styler $219.99 (was $280)

The long (and short) haired person in your life will appreciate a GHD ;)

  • Must have read my mind. My fiance and I were debating the finer points of whether to get the Philips EssentialCare Straightener HP8324/00 which was reduced to a crazy $28.99 or whether to get the GHD Gold Professional Styler for $197.99 - only to see them both disappear before our eyes.

    It seems to me that the GHD Original is too 'bottom-end' for that price. And the Max is simply an Original but wider for longer hair types. So, it's going to be a no from me unless you can convince me otherwise OP :)

      Depends how much she will use it. My local gym has GHDs because a Phillips would not be able to handle the abuse they get. It definitely heats up faster and straightens hair better than a sub $100 tool. GHD can maintain the optimal 185 degrees better and is just nicer to use. I agree for original price it's a bit much to justify but for $140 a great product. I would do a trial at a gym that have them and then compare.

    Just a heads up, GHD is not the “it brand” hair straightener it once was. They moved production from South Korea to China in like 2009 and are no where near as good as the ones from the original factory that last 10+ years. If you read reviews on product review you can see just how many scathing reviews they have, many with multiple replacements within the first year. Unfortunately their reputation and advertising means people buy them anyway.

    With their rating statistics you can see the sharp decline in positive ratings over the years many of which are from people who have owned the early models or just purchased it so are yet to have issues. The amount of 1 and 2 star reviews is pretty crazy.

    The hair straighteners cloud 9 and glam Palm are both produced by the South Korean manufacturer that made the original GHD. Cloud 9 is owned by one of the original GHD Founders in fact. Imo they are much better choices and are much more highly regarded in the beauty communities I’m a part of. Muk is another very popular choice and I believe are less expensive.
