Help me find iOS Flash Drives please :)

iOS flash drives

Hi, we are looking at getting a couple of iOS flash drives to attach to our iPads for an up and coming extended cruise. Ie. Watch downloaded shows at our leisure!

64GB would be enough although 128gb wouldn’t be sneezed at, and preferably be purchased on eBay as the husband has a voucher.

Maybe I am googling wrong but I’m just unable to find enough information on this.

Please help me OzBargainers :)

  • I got a wifi hard drive for long overseas trips. The one I got was the SeagateMedia Witeless 500gb. Holds lots of movies and music. And I’m sure it can stream to more than one device at a time, although I have never tried too.

    • Interesting. Does it need to connect to a WiFi connection first or does it make its own WiFi hotspot?

Would you mind testing the dual streaming for me please?

Sounds like a good idea actually.

      • It's own Wifi hotspot. Battery life is pretty good on it too. I got the older Red but I think it's been updated since.

        • Thanks :)

  • There is nothing for the USB C ports for now but once the new OS is released any USB C key will work.

Sandisk make a lightning key and app which works ok. https://www.sandisk.com/home/mobile-device-storage/ixpand

    • Thanks, will look at this :)

  • Can you not just download shows off Netflix in advance to watch offline? We have done that before when we’ve been cruising and have had no problems accessing content on an iPad.

    • We could but we share an account. Cruise is for 14 days so we need more than what we could download for the little one :)
