Hey - I'm tempted by a few of the toys - Petstages Mini Orka Pine Cone Chew - my dog loves these.
But your shipping costs are wild! I've got 4 small dog toys in my basket and it is saying $18.25 shipping. That is to ship $20 worth of dog toys.
Nothing kills a bargain more than shipping costs.
Is there something special about the Mini ORKA bone that makes it so expensive to ship?

I'm assuming some kind of Squarespace website with automatic shipping calculation based on weight?
I've reviewed your item listing and noted that the Mini Orka Bone (https://www.petnest.com.au/mini-orka-bone) has a shipping weight of 0.5000kg - that is a bloody heavy mini dog toy.
The similar - Mini Orka Pine Cone Shew https://www.petnest.com.au/petstages-mini-orka-pine-cone-che… has a shipping weight of 0.0500kg.
That probably explains why shipping was so expensive?
Decimal points are important.
In summary - please fix the shipping weight of the Mini Orka Bone and I'll buy 2. And 2 Mini Orka Pine Cones.

Wot? I'm willing to pay reasonable postage and handling. In this case it wasn't. The items were well priced on sale and that justified paying reasonable shipping.
I was willing to pay $8.95 to buy $20 worth of dog toys (knowing they sell for about $32 in a pet shop.)

You've set up a nonsense argument with an example that doesn't reflect the situation. The shipping was purely rooted due to their website being poorly set up. They weren't trying to recoop the sale through expensive shipping.

We checked our shipping and on this particular sale we have dispatched products to Queensland, Victoria, West Australia and South Australia. Also, NSW where we are based.
The shipping costs are not based on our calculations but based on AusPost Shipping Cost calculations based on weight and distance.

Yeah - that is my point. You have entered your weights wrong. Unless you're claiming your mini dog chew weights 500grams?
Look here: https://www.petnest.com.au/mini-orka-bone - go to specifications and see it has a weight of 500g. The AustPost calculator built into your site (I assume squarespace or similar) is using 500g for each of these items. Hence shipping two ends up expensive.

But hey - not my place to tell you how to actually run your business.
Other then to say, you're going to struggle if your shipping costs are incorrect.
So hard to find a good chewing toy for the dog. Kong are too tough so the dog isn't interested and everything else is too soft so it gets destroyed. Any recommendations OP?
