Yes.
Comparing like with like - $10 here and Ippudo Chatswood:
- Thinner soup
- Noodles closer to instant noodles, but more
- Chashu lower quality
- More toppings.
Ippudo or this joint lower quality?
I been to the chat Thai next to this place a couple of times..but never tried this place
This one lower quality but for this deal a fair bit cheaper than Ippudo.

Isn't that the point of this store? Sapporo style. I've tried all 3 varieties they offer, and prefer the lighter shio one that was almost clear.
How do you find out when Ippudo Chatswood will have the $10 special next time?

Ippudo ramen isn't that great to begin with and shouldn't be used as a benchmark. lol.
It's like the McDonalds of ramen so reasonably standardised, and has a number of stores, which are useful qualities of a benchmark.
Meaning of second noodle?
Second = extra
An extra noodle in the same bowl or a second bowl of noodle
They bring you the noodle in a separate bowl - you can put this in your bowl of broth or just eat the noodle by itself.
I went last night. Highly recommended. Better than paying the $17 (deluxe) normal price! Lots of toppings and noodles, but chashu was very thin and fatty.
