(3.5mm jack is incorrect - it comes with a USB-C to 3.5mm dongle)

I was looking forward to getting a Xiaomi A3 as it looked like the best of both worlds in terms of features and form factor being small enough to use it in one hand but the weird spec list and price made me reconsider.

After reading and watching several reviews, the key things to note on the C10 are:
-camera & photos have a lot of positive reviews and can record in 4K 30FPS, but there's no EIS/OIS so video looks shaky,
-battery is pretty small, but most reviewers have been able to get over a full day's worth of activity on a single charge as it's (apparently) an efficient chipset with no bloatware - the OS looks almost stock Android.
-Antutu scores put this at ~89000. I believe a Mi A2 gets ~134000.
-Aquos S2 is the same phone, but comes with a different version of Android that doesn't have an app drawer (looks similar to MIUI), a less equipped camera app, and jagged corner edges instead of curved corners - it looks weird.

Insert "no band 28" comment here.

      Updated lol

  • Is this camera the exact same as the aquos s2?

    • Hardware wise, I believe they are but the camera app in the C10 has more settings to adjust and more features (e.g., taking a photo with the front and rear camera in the same photo).

    Very small battery

  • No software update for s2.

  • this is ali express - 50/50 chance of getting screwed over

Had the Aquos S2 for a couple of years. Lovely phone especially with Gcam installed.

Battery lasted for 1.5 days despite low capacity. Really light and good quality screen.

Has NFC as well. Corners didn't bother me.

    The C10 lacks B28.

    • Agree with the above. While I'd prefer the S2 was an Android One phone with stock OS you can't really complain too much given it's price and what they pack into it.

    • which gcam, i can't seem to get any of the apk to work on the s2

  • Looks pretty good but why not just get the Xiaomi A2 instead? Can sometimes get the 64 GB version for a tad under or over $200.
    SD660 > SD630

    • I was pretty tempted, but no NFC :(

  • Will this phone work straight out of the box and not having to do the convoluted software upgrade like my S2? I think that is what OP is referring to as "near stock Android"?

    • +1

Near stock means not as bloated (skinned and apps) and close the the experience you would get if you bought a Pixel phone with stock android.

    • Correct.
I believe the only things Sharp added were their own camera app, and some of their own swipe gestures. Everything else is stock.

I bought the Sharp Aquos S3 from the last deal for circa $203 and couldn't be happier. I'd suggest waiting for an S3 deal to get B28 and better aesthetics.

  • This is a C10, rather than a S2. It differs by not having B28, has a Sony cam, BT 5.0 and smaller 2700maH battery (S2 has 3020ma).
A < $200 Nokia 6 (2018) with Android One, similar hardware + B28 & NFC makes more sense at this pricepoint:
