  • How does this compare to the new AMD 5700XT?

      https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/amd-radeon-rx_5700-rx_5…

They trade blows between each other quite a bit. So it can vary between what game you play and if AMD can make some gains post launch with their drivers (The RTX has had a 6 month lead in that area). The 2070 should be slightly quieter and cooler too, I feel the 5700 XT is really held back by its cooler for now.

      • I bought the rx 5700. Would you recommend return it and wait for the third party rx 5700? I have heard about this thermal issue with the new rxs. This is my first build.

        • The cooler isn't necessarily bad, it's just a blower.

For the 5700 you'd be fine. But if you can wait 2 - 4 weeks you'll be better off.

I think they trade blows pretty well, on average they're the same with some games favoring AMD and some NVIDIA. This is a pretty good price though and I imagine the non-stock 5700XTs to be around this price. Definitely shouldn't get the current 5700XT if you wanted to go AMD because the stock cooler sucks. Also driver issues are pretty bad right now, I ended up returning my 5700XT because of how much I was crashing, which a decent chunk of people on reddit are reporting too

      • I cancelled my order a few days ago due to the crashing I read about too, I had allot of issues with my old rx580 and returned that card and bought a cheap 1070, this looks like a good deal for 2070

    • 5700xt ($400) vs 2060s ($400)

If you can wait a month, AIB customs for the xt are coming. Those things will probably add a +5% at least, but also great coolers.

Nice price! Hope we see more of this with the 5700 XT competition.

    • I rekon this will become the regular price.. specially as the 5700 drops in price…

temped to sell my Vega 64, hold out a few months, and grab a 5700 the sale price of the vega 64…15-20% bump, and lower power costs, for free.

I rather get the 5700 XT when they custom cooler version is released in mid August. Plus the 20% eBay sale will be about $50-$100 cheaper than this vanilla 2070, if you don't need Ray Tracing.

    • The prices almost always get inflated during an eBay sale for graphics cards. Though I hope the custom coolers keep the reference price of $630-$680

      • Worst case there'll be some more meh cards around there. AMDs partners tend to price their cards pretty well, so odds are we see a pulse or a red dragon for a few bucks more.

this card would have to be sub $600 for me to think about buying it. gigabyte cards just aren't that good

the msi gaming z 2070 have been on sale on ebay for around $708 2 weeks ago which is a much better purchase given only around 30 bucks more.

The 2060 "super" iirc is effectively on par with the 2070. 2060 "super" should be priced at $630, as the 5700xt is.

This card's overpriced, as is that one. If you can wait a few weeks, 5700xt will be a better card. Just be aware that it's a brand new architecture and has issues right now, hopefully the big ones are gone by AIB custom launch (apparently August, so 2 - 4 weeks)

  • Shouldn't this be the cost for the 2700 super????

  • $656 at CA eBay for eBay Plus members using code PONCHO10. Code expires tonight at 11:59pm.

    • Just realised this is the 3 fan version as mentioned below.

  • I recently bought the 3 fan version of this from Computer Alliance eBay with the 10% off code bringing it down to $629. Was worried when I read people saying that these windforce cards have a problem with fans revving on and off but I've been using it for a few weeks and it's been great so far. Not sure if that means they've fixed the problem in newer builds or I just got lucky.

  • wonder how this card compares to this: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/465697

    • This other one should have better cooling system by the look of it.

  • Wasn't there a $589 RTX 2070 while ago with a code
