  • I recommend getting one with Bluetooth 5.0 and Quick Charging on the USB port from eBay, should be $15-20
Also, I wonder if anyone ever uses the TF or SD card for MP3 playback on these things? Surely we all just use bluetooth with our phones and then use Spotify/Apple Music or maybe MP3s from phone haha.

    • Does an average car's power output even support quick charging?

Do you have any experience with these?

      • Used these things for about 3 years. Some cars can deliver enough for QC to work. All I'm saying is, better to future proof by getting one that has BT 5.0 and QC :) Especially if it's only $5-10 more.

Any recommendations on Bluetooth 5.0 transmitter?

        • 1,Make sure your phone support Bluetooth 5.0

except new one (lots of phone only up to Bluetooth 4.2 and enough for daily use)

      • My car's lighter socket works with a Huawei 5A supercharging supported charger. Pops up on my phone with the specialised screen when connected and charges just as fast as the AC charger (0-80% in about 35 mins) that came with it. Doesn't even seem to get hot either. I'd describe it as lukewarm. Been running it for 6 months without any damage to the socket.

    • How do you even verify the specs? They are so many no brand units slapped with 5.0 and QC it reminds me of 1TB usbs for $10.

  • Has anyone used one of these? I have the Xiaomi 2s and its decent but the one shortcoming is poor mic performance when speaking on the phone. If someone has used this and can comment would be great :)

    • it also interferes strongly with the local radio stations :(

    • @ Jackson: Haha, I have the Xiaomi 3s, and they got rid of the mic altogether….must have been pretty bad ;) Works pretty good for music over bluetooth though, not much interference and quality is acceptable.

  • I'm thinking of getting one of these for MP3 playback via SD card. Can anyone comment on how good the quality is?
