Amazon's Description:

From visionary Silicon Valley entrepreneur Tom Siebel comes a penetrating examination of the new technologies that are disrupting business and government - and how organizations can harness them to transform into digital enterprises.

The confluence of four technologies - elastic cloud computing, big data, artificial intelligence, and the internet of things - writes Siebel, is fundamentally changing how business and government will operate in the 21st century.

Siebel masterfully guides readers through a fascinating discussion of the game-changing technologies driving digital transformation and provides a roadmap to seize them as a strategic opportunity. He shows how leading enterprises such as Enel, 3M, Royal Dutch Shell, the U.S. Department of Defense, and others are applying AI and IoT with stunning results.

Digital Transformation is the guidebook every business and government leader needs to survive and thrive in the new digital age.

Although you'd be better off using the free credit on something more expensive and paying the USD1.99 for this

  • Thanks

  • Sounds like buzzword laden stupidity.

    • +2

What buzz words are you taking about? These ones…

"elastic cloud computing, big data, artificial intelligence, and the internet of things"

They're not buzzwords anymore. They may have been over hyped in the past but any company without a strategy for each of them now will not survive.

      • Really? What strategy does, say, Vegemite need for "the internet of things"?

        • +1

You're kidding right? Kraft was one of the companies at the forefront of digital innovation 10 years ago (https://consumergoods.com/kraft-foods-fosters-digital-innova…). I would expect that any company that is rated 4 or 5 on the Capability Maturity Model to be able to understand and evaluate technology trends and assess how to leverage them.

IoT in it's most basic form is nothing more than connecting any device to "the internet" (or at least a close network) - which has major implications for any company that owns / operates machinery, has sites, production lines, delivery chains etc.

        • IoT = Machines are going to be order/reordering items and making payments according to set'n forget algorithms

          • +1

@Wally: Yeah 'cos that's all IoT is used for …

  • Thanks OP :)
