  • Not into neckband type headphones after trying some others

Can you please share your opinion why don't you like this type of headphones ?

Saw them at around 8:35 last night but didn't post it because I thought mostly price error as unrealistic price and much cheaper than other crappy in-ear phones let alone the noise cancelling.

  • Just tried in cambwell JB. It is a price error. It is $149

  • Just got an email cancelling my orders

    • I was so looking forward to using these 😖

    • Also received an email cancelling my order due to pricing error.

  • it was a price error! Real price $149, save $150

  • Price back to $149.
Looks like all the orders are being cancelled.

  • Mine's cancelled as well

Just a note to anyone looking at these for Gym or Outdoor activity:

I would of thought these would be primarily used for running but they are not designed with exercise/outdoor activity in mind although they are waterproof to an extent so you think sweat would not be an issue. The noise cancellation is also underwhelming compared to the rest of Sony's lineup and is not ideal for outdoor use or noisy gyms but works well indoors like an office or during your daily commute on the train. Between tracks though you will hear a slight hiss when noise cancelling is on.

From what I have read (have not listened myself to them) these are decent earphones for non-audiophiles but you are paying for the Sony brand more than the Bluetooth and noise cancelling features. Battery life is not very good (less than 7 hours) but it features AptX HD which means you are getting some decent bass and high-end frequencies from these ear phones.

TLDR: These are designed for people who want to zone out office noise or commuting but it is not designed for sweat or intensive exercise. On sale they are worth it if they meet the above requirements for you but avoid paying full price.

  • I don't get how they called it 'Wireless' when you still have the neck/wires around your neck.

    • +1

That's why they now have 'true' wireless.

      • Haha yep as opposed to these "false" wireless

  • I went to pickup at 9am opening time but it was too late, orders already cancelled. They did offer to sell it to me for $118 which i instantly declined.

    • $118 is still a decent price given the RRP is $299 and is Sony branded

        Would prefer $39.95

      • I think most people purchased for the bargain price, not because these are exemplary ear phones. Lot's of better alternatives depending on your criteria.

Is it me or does JBHIFI seem to be constantly incorrectly pricing their products in all mediums (catalogues, website etc). I think whoever is doing their marketing/websites needs to be fired or at least they need to hire someone to proof-read.

  • If something is too good to be true, better not post it on Ozb. At least some people who are lucky could've managed some, still better than everyone got cancelled and no one win.

    • good on the OP for trying to share

Some price errors get honoured and some don't but the power of Ozb def brings it to their attention haha

  • I've still heard nothing from jb. I do know it won't be honoured, as I've already been to collect it and was told "no 🎲 kid". Would have been nice to be informed of this b4 I wasted an hour traveing to the store and back.

    • Would have been nice to be informed of this b4 I wasted an hour traveing to the store and back.

The order confirmation email says not to head to the store until they tell you it's ready for collection.

      • I received an sms that says "your order is ready to be collected".

        • I've still heard nothing from jb.

          ???

          • @HomeAlone: Nothing about the cancellation.

Everything about its ready to collect.

            Not impressed.

            • @ash2000: I see. So basically they (profanity) up twice.

First with the price and then by failing to follow head office instructions to not process any orders placed with the wrong pricing.

I feel that at that point they really should have honoured it or at the very least offered you a gift card as compensation for wasting your time.

              • @HomeAlone: You would hope, but I don't think they give a rats…. I thought there was a chance it was a pricing error, but once you receive both a text and email saying its waiting for me at the store for collection you just assume it is

        • +1

in your case, I would have demanded that they honour the price, especially if you made the effort to go to the store

        • +1

I also got the pickup confirmation this morning, just got back after wasted journey, order cancelled but no email to state that, card still charged. Was also told I need to follow up with the online department as store can't do anything.

I actually purchased before seeing anything on ozbargain, just came here now to see if it was advertised.

          • +2

@cubiq4: Typically I would have checked with ozbargain before heading out, but once you receive an sms that says…..

Your JB Hi-Fi order xxxxx0 is ready for collection at JB Hi-Fi xxx
            Opening hours:
            Today 9:00 - 21:00
            Tomorrow 9:00 - 17:30
Bring your Photo ID (and credit card if you used it to pay).

….. reasonable person would never expect it not to be honoured.

  • A bit late but I just picked up my earphone from my nearest JB XD . I just had to pay again since the initial payment got refunded back…
