Citibank Global Currency Account offers very competitive exchange rates. Plus you can use your debit card overseas if you need to without any extra fees.

  How does it fare up with ING? Hard to compare online.. confused by what fees apply where.

    You don’t have to jump through hoops to be able to use it overseas.
    
    There are no account keeping fees, no foreign transaction fees and no withdrawal fees.
    
    I used both on my latest trip and the conversions were more or less the same. Some days one was better, other days the other was.

Have a look at https://transferwise.com/au/borderless/#coverage
It costs about 0.35% for Aud-> Eur I think.
