Gerni Foam Sprayer Vs Bowden's Own/Meguiar's Snow Cannon

I am looking at purchasing the Gerni 130.3 PC pressure washer from Bunnings which includes a foam sprayer as part of their package (just waiting for it to go on special again!) https://www.bunnings.com.au/gerni-1885psi-classic-130-3pc-hi…

Has anyone used this product before and if so how does it compare to the Bowden's Own/Meguiars Snow Cannon that retail for $90.00 approx

The Gerni foam sprayer is bad compared to snow cannons. They just shoot soapy water.
If you are looking for a cheaper alternative to a snow cannon, find one on ebay for ~$20

Have both, after trying the gerni sprayer and the ebay sparyer, never used the Gerni one again(collecting dust).

Do note the ebay ones can get clumpsy if we over do the thread( trying to tighten it )

  • The Snow cannon is a good foam/suds soak with not much pressure, the Gerni is a high pressure blast of soap. While they both attached to the pressure washer and dispense soap, they are different tools for different jobs.

  • It's bad. Heard the eBay ones can be pretty average too. The Bowden's is worth getting when its on sale, it does a great job.

By the way some Bunnings still have stock of the Gerni 125.5 Titan which is a great deal at $149

  • It's half as good. I have the Gerni foam sprayer which I'd rate as 4/10 and a foam cannon from Hoselink 6/10. The Bowden's Own/Meguiars Snow Cannon are both better than my gear.

  • Thanks everyone for their answers/feedback. That answers my question straight away!

Also, the Gerni 1810psi Classic 125.5 PC is $179.00 at Bunnings, while the 130.3 is $299.00

Surely the 125.5 would do a reasonable job and I am saving $120.00? Or is it better build quality the 130?

Yes the 125.5 is an Ozbargain favourite. But like I said, look for the titan model. It is the same but $20 cheaper and you get a load of accessories with it. It was a promotional line but many Bunnings stores still have stock.

    • the 130.3 has a higher flow rate = thicker foam

      • I have a 130.3 and the Bowden’s Cannon and cant get thick foam. The 130.3 is just over Bowden’s suggested minimum pressure washer specs, so either my tap water pressure or the water quality itself are letting me down.

OP, the Bowden’s one was about $65 in the recent Repco sale, so keep an eye out for a Bowden’s special at Autobarn, Repco or Supercheap. At a minimum when you sign up to Autobarn’s free membership you get a 20% off voucher that you can use on full-price items.

        • That’s good to know thanks for your advice

What do you think of the 130.3 are you happy with it’s performance? In particular for washing the car and driveway etc

          • @PTG Benny: Well this was a bitter pill to swallow, but other than not getting thick enough foam from my setup I do like the Gerni (I don’t think it is the pressure washer that is the problem).

I bought the Click&Clean Auto Nozzle which produces a 60 degree spray pattern and protects the paint (rather than a straight jet). Haven’t used the patio head yet, have just been using the included nozzles to do odd bits here and there. With Winter almost over it is probably time to do the driveway properly with the patio head.

  • Thanks nubzy for the reply! I just used the comparison feature on the Gerni site and compared the 125.5 Titan and the 125.5 PC and it looks like the Titan model has a few extra accessories (unless I read that wrong??) https://www.gerni.com.au/en/products/Pages/product.aspx?fid=…

The Bunnings website doesn't show the Titan having the G1 Gun?

  • have used a gerni foam spray, are basic. get a $30 one from ebay with adjustable dials.

  • I bought an unbranded one after a friend gave me a link. About $80 from memory but it copes with commercial pressure hose as it is all brass (except the container).

My Gerni one cracked after a few uses. Was terrible when it was new, was unusable after it cracked.

The all brass ones are a different league. Make sure you get the correct terminal fitting for your brand of pressure hose.

  • Anyone got an eBay link to a recommended one?

  • MJJC are a great budget option, go to either their AliExpress store or website
