Hisense TV Question [Google Compatibility]

Hey guys

I just bought A budget TCL TV and commands don't work with my Chromecast.
My old sony bravia from 2016 will turn on if I tell the Chromecast to turn on via google, and if I cast straight to the Chromecast the TV turns on automatically. This is not the case with the tcl.

Do you know if this works with the hisense models?
Specifically the 55R6 or the 58R5

    I have a pretty old Hisense Tv and works with Chromecast, have you got CEC switched on in the settings?

      They call it T-link

      It will turn on via google command and casting will turn it on. But it won't turn off, only exits out of the casting app. Frustrating

    What is the model of your TCL? Not having CEC seems unusual for a new TV, even a budget one. If it's not called CEC in the settings, I've seen it called "Control with HDMI" and other similar terms.
