  This stuff is a rip-off. Get regular old hand soap, the cheapest you can find, and dilute to a ratio of 1:2-1:3, then boom! Foaming hand soap.

  You don't get as much perfume when you do it this way but it's about 10% the price.

      You could use a bar of soap I guess. I use liquid hand soap (non-foaming variety), it's a couple of dollars a litre at ALDI and makes at least 3L of foaming soap

    Saw this tip in a previous deal some months ago. So far, I've tried it with Palmolive Aloe Vera & Chamomile (one of their cheaper, non-foaming refills) at various dilutions. It foams well but the pump doesn't function as smoothly - requires significantly more pressure. The soap also tends to settle after a while and gather at the bottom. So not as elegant all around.

    Other than that, it's a good money saver that does actually work - just open to suggestions for other handwashes to dilute and try.

      The main thing to do is to mix it in a larger container before putting in the dispenser, I find the ALDI hand soap stays stable diluted. If you have to push harder on the pump it either needs more mixing or you need to dilute it a bit more.

        Yep I've found that when the pump isn't working as well more dilution is generally required, it takes a bit of patience but it'll save you a bucket.

      Don't dilute cloudy liquid soap for use as foaming refills. The cloudy soap will eventually settle at the bottom of the bottle. Use clear soap varieties like these Palmolive Antibacterial Liquid Hand Wash refills.

  Did you know if you put 1cm or less in a foam dispenser and fill the rest with water it lasts for years. Don't forget to shake it.
