  • it's $29.99

  • yeah, you need to add 60 bucks worth into the cart, apparently then it's applied

    • Just tried it. Checkout with other items. The console still appears in total.

      • must be targeted than… probably crap anyway and chewing batteries like crazy

The buttons look like those nasty soft rubber ones you find on cheap remotes, and that d-pad is terribly thin

The BittBoy($37.65 AUD) or Pocket Go is where it's at for retro handheld gaming. They're considered the best portable retro gaming emulators ever released.

You can load any ROM onto an SD card from any of the below consoles:
    • All Game Boy variants
    • Nintendo and Super Nintendo
    • Sega Mega Drive
    • Sega Master System
    • Atari 2600
    • Atari Lynx
    • PlayStation 1 (depending on the game; some don’t run)
    • Neo Geo
    • TurboGrafx-16
    • Tons of arcade games
    • DOS games via DosBox
    • Plus they come with select ported PC games like Quake 1, Quake 2, Doom, Hexen, Heretic, Wolfenstein 3D, etc. (these are expanded with new firmware updates)

    • Or just grab a Bluetooth controller and have the option of even more recent titles on your phone?

Considered by who? The quality is reflected in the price, they okay, but not "the best" by any stretch of the imagination

I would say "the best" would be a hacked New 3DS or a GPD XD

Jesus dude, do you know how to compare apples to apples?

For $37.65 delivered, the BittBoy plays games from 20 different retro consoles and works out of the box at doing so (no firmware re-flashing/homebrew nonsense required). The storage is only limited by the capacity of the SD card you buy. You can have thousands of ROMs on there. Plus the glass-covered IPS screen is arguably one of the best for a handheld console of this size.

Both the 3DS and GPD XD are $200 AUD or more, and then with the 3DS you have to stuff around with CFW and re-flashing the firmware.

      They really aren't.

        So suggest a better alternative.

        • Marchi above already did. You could also include various other GPD models, hacked PSP's, Nvidia Shield (handheld) etc. Hell, the Xperia play is probably even better.

As for your comparing apples to apples response; well, you did say, 'They're considered the best portable retro gaming emulators ever released.' They really aren't.
