    It does have a metal jacket so it can't really be compared to the cheap cables we are used to.

  It's USB 2.0/USB-C. Only Apple is allowed to charge $15 or more for a USB 2.0 cable. Well, I guess this one does have lifetime warranty.

  What a rip. The cable carefully says metallic for what looks like the braided cord section too. It's not even a high speed high amp cable. Cheaper in many places.

  I picked this up for $10 about a year ago. I regret spending that much on this cable, but I needed it then.
  Certainly wouldn't spend $15 on it.
