Dell XPS 15 - Is this a deal? Any alternatives?

Hi all,

I've been contemplating upgrading from my XP 13 9360 to a New XPS 15, mainly for a bit more grunt power for editing videos, graphics and also some regular design work. I'm not a hardcore designer by any measure, but I use Adobe AfterEffects and Photoshop to make my lectures slightly more bearable for my poor students.

I have been consider the range of New XPS 15s over at Dell, and wanted to know your thoughts on this: https://www.dell.com/en-au/shop/dell-laptops/new-xps-15/spd/…

With 10% Cashrewards it takes it down to ~$2676. Is this…a deal?

I would typically never splurge this much on a laptop - and I really don't need the OLED screen. I was wondering if there were any other laptops with a similar build quality or specs which would fit the bill?

Sorry if this is a weird q, was just wondering if there were any thoughts :)

Check out the previous generation XPS 9570 - should be able to find it for under 2k on sale. Similar spec, just cheaper.

      1TB HDD 5400RPM

Budget in replacing this before you even boot into Windows. It's a disgrace they even sell these anymore.

  • Check the Dell outlet, there's a few on there if you're happy with a 1050 ti
