I have discovered a way one can buy an Oral-B 8000 with no extra retail crap for $80. All you need is the base model charger and it works perfectly. Brilliant upgrade

I believe it's a standard packaging with the extra brush head.
The plus on this is the free Oral-B toothpaste, although it wasn't mentioned anywhere what the type/size of the toothpaste is.
I think these are much better value. Having tried them side-by-side (I bought a vitality for the kids), I think the extra $30 is well spent for the 3D action. For under $49 delivered (Prime, etc), you’re getting the same brushing action as the top-end brushes, just without the bells and whistles (apps and timers etc).

I was surprised to read that the vitality for kids 'stages' heads are not replaceable here. But I'm guessing the battery version is not the same as the one in the OPs post which has a charging station (although still has a battery inside it).
The info on that page is a bit misleading. I think it's referring to the more basic powered toothbrushes.
For example, we have this one at home

The included brush head is smaller to fit more easily in a kid's mouth, but is interchangeable with the standard adult brush heads. The kid's size brush heads are also available.

These chargers are compatible with the 8000. Do it right and you can upgrade to one for under $100
